Bremer's Convoy Came Under Fire -NBC

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Iraq's U.S. administrator (dictator) Paul Bremer escaped unharmed when his convoy hit an explosive device and came under fire in Baghdad on December 6th, NBC News reported on Thursday.

In an incident not previously disclosed, NBC said that Bremer was returning from the Baghdad airport when his convoy ran into an explosive device and his personal armored vehicle took small arms fire.

Whether anyone likes it or not, Bremer is the adminstrative head of a hostile occupation. It must be assumed that he understood the risks when he took the job.

19. There are attacks on "coalition" soldiers in iraq EVERY DAY. Bremer just

got a taste of what our troops are going through on a daily basis. i sincerely doubt the iraqi's have a clue who the hell bremer is. most americans don't even know who the hell he is. they know AWOL, they MAY know rumsfeld, but i do not think they know anyone else there by name. they just know they are illegally occupying their country and they want the occupiers out.

mr. bremer can puff out his chest and pretend he's someone important and this was some grand scheme of an "assassination attempt", but nobody gives a shit.
