Or are they such incompetent idiots who really don't research anything to even the slightest extent? I know that "gay porn star" is not exactly something that you would find on someone's resume, but it sounds like he was a prolific enough performer that plenty of gay men would recognize him from at least one porno they'd seen.

Either way, we have another gay male prostitute being embraced by the right wing. I guess it's okay with them just as long as they don't ask to be able to marry....

I would then ask why he hasn't now been kicked out (yet), though this only came up--and he only came out--last week, so that's probably just a matter of time.

Perhaps they're so desperate for new recruits that they'll admit anyone who passes the basic requirements and boot camp, and don't bother doing any sort of background check unless the recruit needs a security clearance (the infiltration of the military by neo-nazi groups has been pretty well-established, and although they're supposed to be kicked out just like gays, the Army and Marines need as many people as they can get, so they ignore it). Or rather, they wouldn't bother initiating anything until there was something to get the ball rolling; ie. a need for a security clearance, accusations of being gay, etc.

Also, in a situation like this, if Sanchez weren't actively going around gay bars, etc., giving the other members of the unit suspicions, I think the only way anyone would really recognize him is if he'd seen one of Sanchez' movies... which would put the accuser in a rather awkward situation, too, wouldn't it?

Last night, hate-filled liberals on MSNBC attemped to smear Marine Corporal Matt Sanchez and conservatives who honored him at CPAC for his support of the military at Columbia University. They gleefully showed photos of Cpl. Sanchez at the event--including ones I took--in mockery after his gay porn past was outed by left-wing blogs. They cackled "Semper Fi."

I said the other day I thought CPAC organizers would be justified in being embarrassed if the rumors about Sanchez's porn star past 15 years ago turned out to be true. Well, the rumors are true. But it is neither CPAC nor Cpl. Sanchez who should feel embarrassed.

It's the nasty, gloating liberals who claim to stand for tolerance, privacy, human rights, and compassion. I predicted the other day that left-wing bigotry would rear its ugly head. I was right. Last time I check, you "allege" wrongdoing, and being an actor in pornographic movies is a legal activity. Seems to me the quickest, most efficient way of finding out if this "allegation" is true is to simply ask Mr. Sanchez whether he's been an actor in pornographic movies.
