Ken Starr said he wanted Clinton's testimony videotaped so that an absent juror could later view it, but none of the other witneses were taped when jurors were not there. Federal rules prohibit the release of Grand Jury material but Starr got a court order to allow him to share the video with House Publicans, who were not bound by the secrecy requirement. True to form Newt Gingrich & company made it available to the public as soon as they got their hands on it.

This is big! Every dirty detail on those Scooter's tapes is going to be revealed now. Americans are going to start getting their first significant glimpses of what Junior and his junta have really done done. Lord Vader is toast.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Tapes of former White House aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby testifying to a grand jury about when he learned the identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson will be made public, a judge ruled Monday.

Defense lawyers for the former aide to Vice President Dick Cheney had sought to block public airing of audio recordings of Libby testifying to a grand jury, saying the media's use of sound bites from the recording could make it difficult to insulate the non-sequestered jury from news of the case.

U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton ruled that the tapes will be released to the media and the public after the several hours of recordings have been played to the jury in Libby's criminal case. Transcripts of those tapes will also be entered into the public case file, said Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald.

Now Libby's jury will get a full hit of what Fitzgerald and his team, the FBI and the grand jury were having to put up with, in their effort to get to the bottom (top?) of the Plame/Brewster-Jennings outings. Full on obstruction, blatant lying.

And the rest of us...well...we may have tried to imagine what was going on in that grand jury room. Now we get to see/hear it as the grand jury did. They represent US.
