1. didnt work for the christians, will not work for the muslims either

divisive religions are not truly capable of uniting for peace because they are exclusionary and depend on others being wrong (infidels vs heathens) for their sense of self worth (I am going to heaven and you are going to hell). Even the various sub-sects of the same religion cannot get along as they all claim to be the only true variant of the general belief.
