Bush Approval Ratings Slip
THE WALL STREET JOURNAL ONLINE
November 28, 2006

President Bush's approval ratings fell to the second-lowest of his presidency, according to a new Harris Interactive poll.

According to the telephone poll, conducted between Nov. 17 and Nov. 21, 31% of U.S. adults called Mr. Bush's job performance "excellent" or "good" -- down from 34% who gave a positive assessment in a late-October poll; 67% said his performance is only "fair" or "poor," up from 63% in the previous survey. The president's lowest approval rating in a Harris poll was 29% in May 2006.

Despite recent changes in Congress, Republicans and Democrats continued to receive low marks. Thirty-six percent of respondents said Democrats are doing an "excellent" or "good" job, better than the 29% in September. Democrats' highest positive rating was 68% in October 2001, a month after the 9/11 attacks. Meanwhile, Republicans' approval rating remained unchanged from September at 24%, and also well below their October 2001 high of 67%.

The post-election poll found that 31% of adults now believe things in the U.S. are going in the right direction, compared with 58% who think things have "pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track." Last month, 27% saw the U.S. going in the right direction, while 63% said things were off track.

6. You can get your question answered by listening to theWJ on cspan
each morning. It'samazing how many people are still upset thatothers aren't supporting OUR PRESIDENT. They claim WE are the reason Iraq is going so badly, and we should just drop the nuke on the whole Country! All I can say is that I'm sure glad they're in the minority!

8. The people who keep Bush at 31%
are the same people that believe Rev. Ted Haggard can be "transformed and restored" spiritually as a heterosexual man.

9. Don't forget that the Rev. is going to be "cured" by a committee.
I suspect he will be "transformed and restored" as a purple dinosaur.

7. Damn fascist manipulating thugs!
"Despite recent changes in congress"

There have been no recent changes in congress, dammit!
The new democrats don't even take office for more than another month.
I am beginning to hate these bastards.

11. The World Tour is going swimmingly
He should go back on vacation. Hiding works better for him than trying to act like a leader.
