Seven US troops killed in Iraq (Thursday)
11 dead in 3 days. :(

http://www.turkishpress.com/news.asp?id=149620

BAGHDAD - Seven American troops were killed on Thursday in Iraq, the US military said Friday, updating an earlier toll.
Three US marines died from wounds sustained due to enemy action while operating in Al-Anbar province in western Iraq, a statement said.

Earlier statements had said three army soldiers were killed Thursday in a Baghdad bomb attack and one more marine was killed in the west.

The deaths bring to 2,825 the number of US troops to have died in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion, according to an AFP tally based on Pentagon figures.

4. If they put that on the front page
all the hectoring fascist blowhards on the radio and Fox News will leap up and down screaming about liberal bias in the run up to election day--that sends the right wing faithful to start calling and emailing the news stations in protest. That's what they've been doing for years now.

Each and every day/month/year the totals increase yet who is hearing about this? Dubya reminds us any chance he gets that "after all, we are at war" and yet, the headlines don't show that fact!

How sad for the troops, the families and America!

And sad for Iraq - add the number of Iraqi civilians to this!

take this stuff in. I am resigned to close the door on the world in my periphery. It's too sci-fi, too absurd for me to even imagine.

21. So much for the end of Ramadan
Yeah, it was just the holy month that caused all violence. It will go down once it's past...

Bull shit.

They've decided to keep the plataeu going.

1325 days since the invasion.

2829 dead.

2.14 dead per day we are there, on average.

October 2006: 3.35 dead per day.

November to date: 3.67 per day.

No end in sight.
