MANCHESTER, N.H. --First lady Laura Bush rallied Republicans on Monday, praising the state's two GOP congressmen for supporting President Bush on the Iraq war.

Mrs. Bush said she and her husband have met with wounded soldiers and families of soldiers killed in Iraq.

"And from our troops and their families, the president and I hear the same request: that we honor the sacrifice of these men and women by seeing their mission through," she said.

She said American troops have freed Iraqis from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein and made it possible for girls in Afghanistan to get an education.
