Bush aides back Iraq report move

The Bush administration has defended its partial release of a report linking the Iraq conflict to global terrorism against calls for the full report.

A White House aide said the terror report could not be released in full because of national security issues.

Opposition Democrats argue that the parts of the intelligence report declassified on Tuesday do not give Americans enough information.

There are also rumours of a damning second report being held back.

Jane Harman, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, suggested this alleged second report, focusing only on Iraq, was being "held until after the November elections".

She had not seen the alleged report, but added: "I hear it paints a grim picture."

'Information for al-Qaeda'........

the release of the skimpy portions released it BACKFIRED on the bushies...

majority of those I spoken too agree that the "STAY THE COURSE" No-plan plan is the best thing for the terrorists. One friend quipped that he wouldn't be surprised if terrorist groups were funneling money into the repub mid-term races to help 'stay the course'

Another friend said if the repubs were afraid of being seen with bush (in public) perhaps Bin-Laden would issue an invitation to bush for an appearance at a terrorist recruitment drive....

My partner said "I'm waiting for bush to come out say say that this is good because we're creating terrorists over there so we won't have to create them here...."
