Marrianne Faithfull Has Breast Cancer
LONDON (AP) — Marianne Faithfull has postponed a world tour after being diagnosed with breast cancer, her London publicist said Thursday.

Doctors in France, where Faithfull was diagnosed, say the cancer is in its earliest stages, said publicist Rob Partridge.

Faithfull, 59, had been due to begin a world tour next month, but it has been postponed until next year.

2. Hoping for a quick recovery for her...
honestly, I thought she was older than that. I was thinking that she was actually older than Mick Jagger for some reason.

11. No, she was practically a child when they met
However, she has grown up and he has not, which might be the source of your confusion. She acts her age, which is more than you can say for him.

13. I don't know if that is quite true...
I certainly don't think Mick Jagger needs me to defend him, but there is a difference between one's professional schtick and how one conducts their private life. Also, one could just as easily argue that Faithfull's output of torch songs and all of that Brecht/Weill/ Wiemar cabaret type material is ALSO an adolescent affectation (from a slightly more pretentious adolescent) That being said, i prefer her output of the past 25 years or so to that of Jagger's during the same period :)

Also, I wish her a full recovery.

3. I'm sorry to hear that.

Since they found it in the early stages,
I hope there is a good chance for her recovery.

4. Didn't she play God on AbFab?
She had a thing with Mick at one point, I think.

I always liked her. Best wishes to her on fighting this.
