Breaking on Alertnet: RedCross Worker Killed in Darfur

A 31 year old Sudanese national working for the Red Cross was abducted and killed in the Darfur region. He was killed by an armed group.

This is really serious because the Red Cross may have to pull out if their workers are not safe.

This man was the first ICRC staff member to be killed in Darfur.

I also saw another article just a few minutes ago that there is a real fear that the Darfur conflict will spread to other areas in Africa.
