Musharraf offers Kashmir pull-out
Pakistan's president says he will pull back troops from Pakistan-administered Kashmir, if India does likewise in its part of the disputed territory.

General Pervez Musharraf also said he could award Pakistan's highest civilian honour to India's prime minister if he helped solve the Kashmir dispute.

He told the BBC that moves to ease tensions with India - like restoring bus links - were "only the beginning".

3. Yeah he is
I'm beginning to seriously respect his political abilities. I need to find more info on this side of things. Meaning Kashmir. I think after I finish reading my stack of books I have now, I'm going to bone up on Pakistan-India-Kashmir. It's all so fascinating.

2. The second apparently unsolicited peace overture from Musharraf...
...in a few weeks.

Hmm...What's up with that? I can't believe that Musharraf has had a sudden change of heart -- not the man who planned the Kargil conflict and seemed willing to go to the brink over it.

What is motivating him to do this now? Hmm....and Double Hmm...
