1,000 civilians killed in Lebanon by Israeli offensive (AFP)
BEIRUT (AFP) - More than 1,000 civilians have been killed in Lebanon since Israel launched its massive offensive on July 12, an official body has said.

At least 1,002 civilians, 30 percent of them children under 12, have died as well as 30 soldiers and policemen, the state relief committee said Thursday, while 3,580 have been wounded.

The Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah has announced the death of 58 of its fighters, while seven fighters of the Shiite Amal movement, allied to Hezbollah, have been killed during the course of the four-week-old offensive. (...)

In 30 days, 915,792 people have been displaced, including 220,000 Lebanese who left the country, according to the government High Relief Commission.

1. Damn war crimes
At least 1,002 civilians, 30 percent of them children under 12, have died

I bet if over 1000 Israeli's were dead and 30% of them were children, you'd see a different reaction from the Israeli war crime supporters..

2. A million refugees.
1/4 of Lebanon has been displaced. Entire cities are told to leave. This is not deliberate policy?

When it is 10,000 civilians will we wake up? 100,000? How many have to be killed before we understand what is being done?

7. Just a guess but I reckon they're 25% there ...

Bet they stop before the magic number of 6 million ... oh, they have
to don't they - there isn't 6 million left (alive) in Lebanon ...
in that case I guess they won't stop until the 1 million refugees
has been increased to 3.8 million ...

(Population was 2,126,325 in the 1970 census and estimated at 3,874,050
in 2006 ... before the recent reductions of course ...)

8. Psyops: "Sightings in remote villages - Israelis appear to be everywhere"
Sightings in remote villages - Israelis appear to be everywhere
By Associated Press
Tuesday, August 8, 2006 - Updated: 02:22 PM EST

BEIRUT, Lebanon - Hassan al-Harakeh answered his phone one evening to hear a deep voice asking: How long will you go on supporting the gang of Hassan Nasrallah? It was Israel calling, with a message denouncing Hezbollah and its leader.

Cell phones and land lines across Lebanon have been ringing with automated, recorded messages - part of a propaganda war being waged along with Israels assault on Lebanon.

The sophisticated campaign has given the impression that Israelis are everywhere, not just in the warplanes overhead or on the front lines of the ground battle against Hezbollah. Hackers broke into Hezbollahs Al-Manar TV transmission, and the Lebanese press is dotted with reports of Israeli commandos turning up in places far from the front in the south.
(snip)

The cellular and land lines have become ingredients of the modern psychological and propaganda wars, joining other tools ... like the radio, TV, flyers and the Internet, he said.

Mughrabi got a call as well, the same deep voice but this time addressing Nasrallah: Hassan, have you realized yet that the Israeli army is not as delicate as a spiders web? Its a web of steel that will strangle you.
(snip/...)
