Bush’s brief visit to Baghdad surprises Iraqis
Baghdad, November 28: Iraqi politicians on Friday said that they were surprised and baffled by US President George W. Bush's brief visit to US troops at a military base at the city's main airport.

"We cannot consider Bush's arrival at Baghdad international airport on Thursday as a visit to Iraq," said Mahmoud Othman, a member of the US-appointed Iraqi governing council.

"Nobody notified US as the governing council about this visit. Bush did not conduct any official meeting with Iraqis," Othman said. "He did not meet with ordinary Iraqis. Bush was only trying to boost the morale of his troops," he added.

1. of course not...it's a photo op and it trumps Hillary's visit
at least she spent more than 2 hours in country

this puppet is all about "image"...zero substance...and his message of fear is getting old..people see through the crap

if was so sincere about terror...why would he inhibit the 911 investigation? why doesn't he want to find out what happened. I sure would like to know how we knew the ID's/photos of these hi-jakcers so quickly when they used fake id's and they were not on any passnger list

911 started the US down a road ...an agenda

2. That sneaking is right up his alley....
This is his love of life to sneak and lie and deceive the ordinary people. He is so up above us all and loves to flaunte it. What a wonderful Thanksgiving he had. I bet he and his kind just laughed and gloated all through their real dinner. Yes...it was more propaganda.

It was all about him, a photo-op and re-election. IF he was even there at all.

5. Those "troops" that gave him the booming applause...
All of the major news sources went on and on yesterday about how bush got such an ovation from the 600 (From the looks of it there were only about 100 people under that tent) army personnel.

Doing a quick scan over the audience I did not see anyone in the room with less than Sergent First Class ranking. I would like to have seen the reaction of all the one who are actually out there fighting in the streets every day. Somehow, I don't think the applause would have been so loud.

What an orchestrated piece of shit that trip was.

9. Contempt
I will accept, for the purposes of this post, that he actually was there, and the whole Rove story.

But doesn't this raise issues about what a puppet he is?

His masters have such contempt for his safety that they brought him into an airport where he could be killed so easily on landing or takeoff.

If he had been killed, it would have been the excuse for martial law they have been looking for, in US + UK.

Therefore, his masters are probably disappointed he wasn't splattered. We can see from this, that he is not in charge. He is not the decision-maker, because they can gamble with his life and come up with the conclusion that his safety is unimportant to national security.

If it were, he would have stayed on his dung ranch.

Contradicting myself, it is also possible they recognize that Mr. Undickslosed Location is unelectable on his own without his puppet, so the monkey must live.

No matter what, this photo op was a supremely arrogant and ill-advised stunt. That opinion is not news to any of y'all.

I must conclude (since I don't want to be arrested) by saying that I wish Mr. Bush a long life and, in the next new GOP slogan, "Four More Terms" in office. Wishing any bodily harm on this most incompetent and evil pResident would be against the nonviolent tactics I support.
