1. Idiots. Why don't they just get it through their heads that it is
an American occupation that they are fighting against, not a fighting FOR a restoration of Saddam Hussein. They are sitting there right in the middle of the mess, and they just refuse to pay attention.

<snip>
In describing to Wolfowitz the sources of trouble in Baghdad, Kerik like Abizaid used the term ''resistance.'' Wolfowitz immediately corrected him. ''Not 'resistance.' Forces of reaction,'' he said.
<snip>

Not only are they not paying attention to the Iraqis who are stating loudly and clearly that they want us out of there, they can't even agree amongst themselves.

I repeat, idiots.

3. Do they really think they can continue to practice...
...real-time revisionism when we take screenshots and print them out? Their attempts at linguistic gymnastics, artificially altering the framework of the dialogue for debate, have become so constant and obvious that what's made apparent is that EVERYTHING they say is a lie. Carefully crafted lies (and many not so carefully crafted), stated without impunity under the assumption that money and the faith of the willfully ignorant, will 'get them thru'. Just what the hell are these men so hell-bent on anyway? Are they under the impression they can keep the riches and oil after they've died? Are they just seeking to keep the world safe for the wealthy entitled white folk? What the hell is it about their worldview that so justifies so much deceit and death for their own personal gain? Cripes, at least Hitler had some stupid delusional worldview to self-justify. I really have to wonder if these dolts don't actually have contracts signed with some spooky horned flaming red thing with a tail...

7. Condi Rice once corrected herself that way
it must be in their "Elements of style" not to call it a resistance.

She referred to the resistance, then quickly said something like "I don't want to glorify it by calling it resistance, they're thugs, they're Baathist remnants, etc etc" :puke:

4. Wolfowitz has no expertise
no military experience, no nation building experience..nothing. He was a math major, and a Straussian disciple.

As close as he is to Sharon, i think he is going to follow the west bank blue print in fine detail. Which is going to be a disaster.

9. Someone should tell Bremer
a country the size of california with 25 million people cant be walled off into a ghetto like the gaza strip with 147,000 exhausted over-worked troops.

Im starting to think the neo-cons dont want a peace-keeping operation, because they have no peace-keeping intention. They want a west bank type crack down.

10. ''civil defense force,'' or armed militia ... or paramilitaries?
There was a story recently about the occupation considering paramilitaries to guard infrastructure. to me, this means "death squads," Central America-style.
