Las Vegas bans feeding of homeless people in parks...
The city of Las Vegas ordinance that makes it illegal to feed the homeless in city parks took effect Friday, July 28.

Opponents say it is unconstitutional and are planning to challenge it in court.

The issue is getting some national attention.

The New York Times ran an article Friday highlighting Las Vegas as one of several U-S cities with similar laws.

Las Vegas city leaders say they want to get homeless out of parks and into services.

Eyewitness News contacted the city marshal's office, which enforces the ordinance. We were told no one from that office was available to talk to us.

5. Some of those homeless are veterans
39% of all the homeless are veterans. Now we are finding vets from our current war zones homeless. Its a crying shame

11. Dont just stop with no longer feeding them....
Come up with a real solution so they dont stave to death on the streets...

1 think it would be best to strip all the congragations, of this country and probably the world, of all their assest in order to help with making monumetal changes in our society. They do actually owe it to us for all the damage their cult has caused since its inception.

13. The horrible pettiness and greed and meanness are everywhere. Here
in Omaha people have their shit in an uproar because the homeless are pitching tents along the Missouri River. The city had a big Riverfront Development Project going along the banks of the Missouri and new mega-buildings like the Gallup Headquarters are up-river. So now everyone is just pissing their pants because one of the sites you see as boaters go up the Missouri are the tent 'cities' of the homeless, which detracts from the aesthetics of the new corporate facade.

14. Those tent cities should be called "Bushvilles."

As in a previous decade, similar settlements were called "Hoovervilles."
