Iraqi donkeys face U.S. wrath
http://sify.com/news/fullstory.php?id=13317591

By Michael Georgy in Baghdad
Tuesday, 25 November , 2003, 17:25

Baghdad:Since guerrillas used donkeys to outwit the high-tech defences of the U.S. military in Iraq, the life of the beast of burden has never been so miserable.
Attackers used donkey carts to launch Katyusha rockets at the Oil Ministry and two fortified Baghdad hotels on Friday. Two other donkey carts were stopped -- one carrying more rockets, the other a donkey-bomb wired up with explosives.

Every donkey in Baghdad is suddenly under suspicion as U.S. President George W. Bush wages a global war on terror. In a crackdown on an animal that already suffers multiple daily whippings, U.S. soldiers with automatic rifles regularly stop and search donkey carts for weapons.

Donkey owners say petrol stations have been refusing to sell them kerosene for resale since the rocket attacks. The animals salivate and wheeze with exhaustion as they pull their owners and heavy loads across the potholed streets of the Iraqi capital in a desperate search for kerosene.

"I have five daughters to feed. I used to make 7,000 dinars a day (Rs 170). Now I earn only 2,000 since the Americans started pressuring us after the rocket attacks," said Jabar Mahdi. "We ask the petrol station managers for kerosene and they refuse. What did we do to get treated like this?"

5. When people suffer, animals still suffer even worse.
As if they had anything to do with the mindless war, death and killing brought about by our President. (I can't even call him a Chimpanzee any more, so as not to offend Chimpanzees).

4. We are kicking their A**ES!!
Somehow I knew we were going to see this after the donkeys attacked. The same thing happened after motorcycles were used in some attacks, no more motorcycles were allowed even if it was your only means of transportation.

10. UGh that is almost asking for that horrible photograph
I won't post it.

Yeah something like that. Not that getting to work or the donkeys have anything to do with rebuilding Iraq or anything.

6. U.N. Inspector Says Iraq Had No Donkey Carts
(2003-11-21) -- Former United Nations chief weapons inspector Hans Blix said that as late as February 2003 Saddam Hussein's government had no donkey carts like the one used in today's attack in Baghdad. The carts served as mobile weapons platforms from which terrorists launched 10 rockets that hit the Iraqi Oil Ministry, and two hotels early this morning.
"We found no evidence of donkey carts, nor of donkey cart research and production facilities," said Mr. Blix. "I can only assume that the carts were smuggled into the country after the war started."
Mr. Blix said that Coalition forces must act quickly to confiscate or destroy Iraq's remaining donkey carts to prevent similar attacks.

7. Here's a photo of the scorched donkey
used in the attacks:

For this poor animal, it seems daily beatings were insufficient torture.

8. Too many innocent bystanders
both human and animal, being literally burned by this war for oil and the resistance against it. How pointless and disgusting it all is. :-(

If the OSP (Office of Special Propaganda) determines that these weapons originated from Syria or Iran, these smuuggled Donkeys of Mass Destruction will be force us into action with regime change in all though countries who seek the technology to build Asses or Mass Destruction. We shall use every weapon in our high-tech arsonel to hunt down these donkeys of mass destruction. You are either with us or againt us - that includes evil-doer asses too! United we stand against the war on terror!

Never question my simplisitc rationales, the donkeys attacked us because they hate our freedoms! Can't you see that? We have no doubt that Saddam is directing these freedom hating and savage asses into action against our troops. We must destroy these asses to protect our freedoms!
