Cuba denies jamming US broadcasts to Iran
Cuba denies jamming US broadcasts to Iran
http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/s905977.htm
The Cuban Government has denied jamming US satellite broadcasts to Iran saying it only blocked radio and television signals beamed "illegally" at Cuba.

A US broadcast agency and a private Iranian television broadcaster in California accused communist-run Cuba last week of interfering with transmissions aimed at the opposition in Iran.

The Cuban authorities agreed to investigate the claim at the request of the US State Department, which on Friday asked Cuba to find the jamming station.

"This is a new campaign of anti-Cuban lies... adding to a long list of hostile and aggressive actions that the imperial administration of George W Bush has taken against our country," a Cuban Foreign Ministry statement said.

Hmmm.. so, now the infidel commies are working with the Iranian Islamist clerics?

This all too funny. (Not.) The scary thing is, a lot of Americans will believe this crap.

1. Gee, sounds scientific!
It might be easier to believe if Bush hadn't entered the pREsidency tightly bound to the Miami "exile" extremists, to whom he may also owe some of the success of his selection.

He has gibbered continually about the great fiendishness of the Cuban government, along with those dandy charges they had Bolton from the State Department unload during a meeting of the Heritage group two nights before former President Jimmy Carter was due to arrive in his historic trip to Cuba. The charges Bolton chucked at Cuba were scorned by many, and were never, of course, proven.

He and his stooges have kvetched and crabbed and moaned so continually since he stole office, you'd think HE was being embargoed, blockaged, travel banned, threatened, terrorized, bombed, etc., himself!

2. Another article on the "jamming" going on
First, a scientific illustration from the article!

Yep, at first I thought it was just some more pathetic gibberish from the Bush administration, seeing it's been a month or so since they had some denunciations to launch at Cuba, but THEN I saw this super scientific illustration!

Wooohooooooo! They've got 'em dead to rights, don't they? I'll bet Bush's ex-Latin American Affairs head, Cuban "exile" Otto Reich drew this humdinger.

3. LOL
That illustration makes it look like Cuba is trying to intercept the McDonalds arch.

In Miami, the call-ins/ editorials/letters to the editor are calling for airstrikes and bombing missions against Cuba for this "act of war" agin 'murica.

4. Cuba constantly jams Radio Marti...
It's easy to find R. Marti, just listen for the station with the "bubble" noise mixed in with it.

Remember back in the late 80's early 90's when HBO and other services were getting jammed? The imfamous "Captain Midnight" who covered HBO with a message slide grousing about scrambling? The "Captain" forgot to turn off the ATIS (Automatic Transmitter Identification System)so it wasn't too hard to track him down.

Hmmmmm....So the "Miami Exiles" are calling for bombs to be rained down on their country that they LOVE so much? maybe THEY are the ones jamming...I think they need to sniff around the Miami uplink facilities....Miami, Cuba, Hell, they're close enough a signal could seem to come from either place. Yeah...."Operation Northwoods" with a sattelite dish...Hmmmm....

5. Never thought of that
"maybe THEY are the ones jamming I think they need to sniff around the Miami uplink facilities....Miami, Cuba, Hell, they're close enough a signal could seem to come from either place. Yeah...."Operation Northwoods" with a sattelite dish...Hmmmm.... "

Hmmm. Y'know.. you might be onto something. The US gov has recently stepped up its broadcasts to Cuba using various methods like offshore balloons, planes, and high power transmitters, to overcome the Cuban signal jamming on Radio & TV Marti. They broadcast from the Fla keys as well as satellite.

6. Perfectly possible!
In fact, it seems far more likely than a very small island, under intense embargo restrictions, restrictions on OTHER countries which dare to trade with Cuba, with unrelenting acts of terrorism from Miami, and from assassins people in Miami have hired from Latin America, to actually do ANYTHING anymore to provoke one moment of increasing pressure.

I think you're very possibly right. The people who would really benefit from the U.S. getting really hot under the collar about the story of Cuba interfering with transmission of propaganda to Iran would be the Miami MAFIA, the radical "exile" terrorists.
