http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13332047/

ISTANBUL, Turkey - An explosion Thursday near a bus terminal in Istanbul has injured at least four people, reports said. The explosion occurred inside a trash can near the terminal in Istanbul's busy Eminonu district, CNN-Turk said.

At least four injured people were rushed to a nearby hospital, Sky-Turk television reported.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately known. Militant Kurdish, leftist and Islamic groups have carried out attack in the city in the past.

"said a change is gonna come, you can hear it in the broadcast on your radio" - cutting crew

I think we're in for a rather disturbing news cylce, bush & his republican neo-cons in the congress are jumping on the "let's talk about the war NOW" horse just at the wrong time.

I wish things wouldn't get worse, but you know, with shrubya in charge, he'll do whatever it takes ------ to screw things up! Gotta keep that industrial military complex running!

11. The OT Biblical God loves war, hates us queers...in fundamentalist hands
Forget the fact that the OT really never addresses homosexuality. The closest it comes is condemning men "laying the layings of a woman with a man" as an "abomination." It is on the level of sowing the fields with two kinds of crops, wearing clothing made of more than one kind of fiber, and cutting the sides of the beard.

12. GOP resolution politicizes war
Thailand, Sri Lanka, Istanbul, Kandahar ...

will these be part of the GOP talking points in the 'upcoming debate'?

"GOP resolution politicizes war, Democrats say"

House Democrats are accusing Republicans of politicizing the upcoming debate on the Iraq war, saying the majority party has pulled a bait-and-switch by focusing the debate on terrorism instead of about Iraq policy as promised.

Lawmakers today will spend 10 hours discussing a Republican-authored resolution that, among other things, asserts that former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein posed a threat to global peace and declares that the United States is "committed to the completion of the mission to create a sovereign, free, secure and united Iraq." No amendments will be allowed.

This snip/thread link is from a WashTimes 'article' ... note how the scribe reinforces the notion that the Republicans are 'the majority party' ... when 'Republicans' or 'GOP' could have been used.
