Rumsfeld says there's 'no power play' over intelligence
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/redir.php?jid=687e5041ed912740&cat=c08dd24cec417021

WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said Tuesday he supports the nomination of a military general as the head of the CIA, and said the Pentagon is not trying to take more control of intelligence matters.
"There's no power play taking place in Washington," Rumsfeld told Pentagon reporters, calling talk of bureaucratic turf fights between civilian intelligence agencies and military leaders "theoretical conspiracies" and "all off the mark."

President Bush's selection of Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden to head the CIA has raised questions from congressional Republicans and Democrats over his ability to be independent from the military establishment, as well as his ties to a controversial eavesdropping program.

Rumsfeld said there have been military leaders of the spy agency in the past and that would pose no conflict with the Pentagon

Now that Rumsfeld ever lies but now that he has reassured us that makes me feel so much better!!!:sarcasm:

1. I'm confused. Is this an unknown known or a known unknown?
Did Rummy tell us the details? Is this something we know but don't know we know, or is it something we don't know we don't know? I'm pretty sure it's not something we know that we don't know.

6. Yup, 'no power play' over intelligence
says Rumsfeld. How can you tell Rumfeld is lying, his lips are moving. Who was it that said "whatever they say, believe the exact opposite"? Was it Harry Reid?

7. 180 degree rule applies
One can't have a power play going on because that requires an opposing persona or group who wants to be the big cheese at the end-game. Now that all the intelligence that's fit to know falls under Herr Rummy's leadership since just about everything can be spun to a concern of "national security" in their global scams, we need not worry about competency or quality, or timeliness of intelligence follow-up, just treasonous culpability via Ma Bell to NSA, FBI, CIA, all collected and protected by the felonious Mr. Negroponte. Wonderful!

9. Rummy also said he knew where the WMD was in Iraq too.
Rummy needs the CIA as that is where the HUMINT is done and ya gotta have control over the people. Controlling the spy technology infrastructure is much easier - it doesn't leak.

Yep, Forked Tongue Rummy sure is truly believable and really credible. :sarcasm:
