Europeans fail to reach deal in last-ditch nuclear talks with Iran

European Union negotiators failed to reach a deal in last-ditch nuclear talks with Iran on Friday, the German and French foreign ministers said.

They said talks are scheduled to resume on Monday.

French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy said the EU had been demanding "full and complete suspension" of enrichment and related activities.

Top EU powers met with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator for a last stab at dialogue before an IAEA meeting that could bring UN Security Council steps against Tehran over fears it secretly seeks atom bombs.
