Nikkei falls 2 pct on U.S. slide, dollar weakness
TOKYO, Jan 23 (Reuters) - The Nikkei share average slid 2 percent on Monday as tech firms such as Advantest Corp. (6857.T: Quote, Profile, Research) fell on a decline in the dollar and after U.S. shares were battered during Wall Street's biggest loss in nearly three years

Seriously, I think the stock market is such a huge scam right now that rounding up all licensed brokers on wall street and having an Aztec party.

The kind where the line goes up the long staircase and then there's the sudden drop........

These people have played the U.S. and world public as patsy's for too damn long. Put your money in a mutual fund....ta daaaa...it's gone!!! Pension? bye bye..... 401K? CEO got a golden parachute just before the stock tanked. and so on, and so on, and so on. Even employee ownership is not viable in the new world. They've sold my children to slavery and feudalism and I want blood.

6. European stocks falter as oil soars, Wall St hit
PARIS, Jan 23 (Reuters) - European shares slid to their lowest level since the start of 2006 on Monday, weighed by oil prices flirting with $69 a barrel and earnings worries despite Philips's above-forecast quarterly profits .

Oil prices rose to $68.52 a barrel amid worries about an escalation in the standoff between Iran and the West after a senior Iranian official was quoted as saying that Tehran would resume industrial-scale uranium enrichment if it was referred to the United Nations Security Council
