New Tape from Zawahiri May Come Today

Security is being stepped up across the country today after the release of a new audiotape in which Osama bin Laden threatens to attack the U.S. homeland — though the government is not elevating the national alert level.

The new security measures are being taken as ABC News learns that al Qaeda Web sites have posted messages saying yet another tape is about to be released — this one from al Qaeda's No. 2 man, Ayman al-Zawahiri, who apparently escaped a missile attack that targeted him in Pakistan a week ago. The Web sites say he will mourn his colleagues who were killed in that attack.

Richard Clarke, a former White House security adviser who is now an ABC News consultant, told "Good Morning America" that bin Laden's "truce" offer was nothing more than a repackaging of his demand that the United States withdraw from all Arab countries.

"That's not a real truce offer. That's just his definition of victory for him," Clarke said. "If there is a major attack in the United States, he'll be able to say, 'Look, we gave the United States a chance … and they didn't take the offer.' "

First we have the convenient appearance of audio tapes that are "authenticated" very quickly by the CIA. Next we have a "defence contractor" named PerfectWave Technologies that does advanced digital signal processing. It turns out that PerfectWave is involved with what appears to be a wideranging octopus of corruption in the ranks of Repugs. You know that what a defense contractor SAYS they do and what they REALLY do are only marginally related. What do you suppose the chances that there is a hiddenr elationship here are? In the latest audio tape from "Usama Bin Laden", he made references to God. As far as I know, UBL only refers to Allah. I've checked out a few of the transcripts of his previous speeches (they are rambling, go on and on) and I didn't see a single reference to the word God.

Stupid Karl Rove doesn't check his transcripts, does he?

Be suspicious if he refers to God. Also, audio tapes are easier to concoct than video tapes.

The CIA bombed a little place in Pakistan last week, and already we're "sure" that some terrorists were killed. Why, they can even say for sure which terrorists were killed, and which dinner invitations was declined.

Oh, and some Pakistani civilians were killed, too. Hey, them's the breaks.

Now, imagine the "terrorists" were having dinner in Paris, or London, or Manhattan and the CIA sends a drone to blow up the dinner party.
