3. What's going on is that the winds have picked back up and changed
direction. There are 9 fires burning in the state. Every available resource is on them and firefighters are EXHAUSTED...

4. god...
this is horrendous. Thankfully, our high temps here in Santa Cruz broke today and the fog came in, even dropping a little rain. There was a really high fire-threat up in our hills. Hopefully we'll make it to real rainfall before anything flares up.

To all the SoCal DU'ers... I'm thinking of you. My brother and my neice and nephew live down there, but so far they're away from any of the major fires (they're in San Juan Capistrano and Manhattan Beach).

6. Is it only in the suburbs of LA
or is it getting dangerously close to the dense urban areas?

7. It's in the hills.
It never gets far from the brush and/or forested regions.
Things seem to be cooling off, the weather is changing,
cross your fingers.
