Guardian reporter missing in Iraq
A journalist for the Guardian newspaper is thought to have been kidnapped after going missing in Iraq.

It is believed Baghdad correspondent Rory Carroll may have been abducted by armed men while on assignment in the capital, a Guardian statement said.

The paper said it was urgently seeking information about the 33-year-old Republic of Ireland national.

Mr Carroll had been in Iraq for nine months. He previously worked as South Africa correspondent.

7. The USA is behind this you can bet.
Oh sure, they'll get some brown people in hoods and act like they're the enemy but The Guardian comes out with some very hot news and our slutty leaders don't like that. Fake terrorist. I hope he'll be okay though. Journalist are the enemy of the state.

13. lawlessness
Another likely scenario is that he was kidnapped for ransom. Western companies pay big-time money to get their employees back.

Much of Iraq has become lawless, and there is rampant murder, robbery and kidnapping going on, largely unchecked.

... they are doing their "reporting".
(From the stuff they print, they don't even leave the Army Press

edited for typo. Targeting journalists is a good way to get coverage (targeting of any sort, verbal or bombing).

21. Don't forget about Basra Prison Break Investigator Mysteriously Dies
Basra Prison Break Investigator Mysteriously Dies

He was responsible for the investigation into the two Elite SAS men disguised as Arab "terrorists"
by Michel Chossudovsky
October 17, 2005
GlobalResearch.ca

In this capacity, Captain Masters was responsible for investigating the circumstances of the arrest of two undercover elite SAS men, wearing Arab clothing, by Iraqi police in Basra. on September 19 (London Times (17 Oct 2005)..

"The Ministry of Defence refused to reveal details about his work but it is believed he was involved in the inquiry into the dramatic rescue of two SAS soldiers held in a prison in Basra.

The Daily Mail (17 Oct 2005), however, tends to dismiss the suicide thesis "Little is known of his private life and it is said to be unlikely that the pressures of work would have led him to commit suicide."

Was the British military blocking Captain Masters police investigation?

There were apparent disagreements between British military commanding officers and the military police officials dispatched to the war theater in charge of investigating the actions and behavior of military personnel. (The Independent 17 Oct 2005).

24. Pray! Pray! Pray!
CACI-type death squads running amok, I can feel it. US troops fighting Syrian soldiers at the border (and over the border). White journalist gets snagged. All to crowd out the pending indictments. So like the Nick Berg event, when the torture photos were coming out.

I'm afraid Libby was right (or, rather, I read him right). The "aspens" are deeply rooted, and the Queen of Iraq is not to worry about anybody "turning" (the PNAC plan, and all its operatives and capabilities are still in place, even if Libby takes the "fall").
