Blair Heart Problem Denial

DOWNING Street yesterday denied claims by Bill Clinton that Tony Blair has known he has a heart problem for at least five years.

In a newspaper interview, the former US President said the PM told him of a minor heart condition after Labour's 1997 election victory.

This contradicts Downing Street, who said that Blair's heart scare last week was a one-off.

A No 10 spokesman could not explain Clinton's remarks but added: ``What happened last Sunday was a one-off from which he has fully recovered. It's not a condition of which he has any history.''

Blair was in hospital for six hours. He was given electric shock treatment to steady his heartbeat.

5. Hmm, is Clinton falling out with Blair?

We are used to hearing about how Clinton & Blair are the best of buddies. Why then would Clinton undermine Blair's already pratically nonexistant credibility by saying this? Have the two fallen out? Is Clinton fed up with Blair's poodling to the GOP too? Inquiring minds want to know.
