GLENEAGLES, Scotland, July 7 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that the London bomb blasts showed that the world was not doing enough to beat terrorism.

"What happened today again testifies to the fact that all of us are doing too little to unite our forces effectively in the struggle against terrorism," Putin said in a statement on the sidelines of the Group of Eight summit in Scotland.

The only way to control terrorism is to stop the recruitment by taking off the iron glove and offer the other cheek.

But this is not about stopping terrorism, as far as the * goes; it's about changing the world by using terrorism/Islam as a scapegoat.

By entering into a war against a shadow enemy, the neocons has raised the stakes considerably and the attacks today could have originated anywhere. It doesn't matter to them - we saw it today; the same empty rethoric about 'resolve' and what have you.

I don't know the answer and I'm afraid none of us ever will until everyone gives up trying to impose upon others. But we will always need an "enemy" to rise up against... I am starting to believe that people in general aren't happy unless they can rise up against something.

a form of retaliations. You can't defeat terrorism without defeating the things that cause it, which isn't so prevalent in the last 10 years.

In order to defeat terrorism, you have to study terrorism, to find its root cause.

Liberals have the correct approach in this regard.

The only way to defeat terrorism is to practice peace. To be stronger and smarter in peace than than the enemy is violent. To dominate the enemy with peace. This means, study, training, will, methods to react that stop violence - not by blowing up everything. Liberals in US know this. They advocate treating terrorist as criminals and bullies. Conservatives know it too but they do not profit financially from peace. It is that simple.

Either you develop a siege mentality, crack down on freedom of
movement, and develop civilian KGB-like informers, all of which would
