Gibson stalker gets maximum sentence

A man convicted of stalking Mel Gibson was sentenced to three years in prison yesterday - the maximum punishment allowed under Californian law.

Sinclair, who began trying to make contact with Gibson after the release of the star's controversial movie The Passion Of The Christ, was convicted of one felony stalking count on March 4. Authorities say Sinclair showed up at Gibson's Malibu, California property at least four times last year, and once at the church where he star worships. Fisher also recommended Sinclair undergo psychological treatment while in prison.
