Mystery Blood Clots Kill Troops

United Press International
October 7, 2003

WASHINGTON - Unexplained blood clots are among the reasons a number
of U.S. soldiers in Operation Iraqi Freedom have died from sudden
illnesses, an investigation by United Press International has found.

In addition to NBC News Correspondent David Bloom, who died in April
of a blood clot in his lung after collapsing south of Baghdad, the
Pentagon has told families that blood clots caused two soldiers to
collapse and die. At least eight other soldiers have also collapsed
and died from what the military has described as non-combat-related
causes.

A disturbing parallel has also surfaced: soldiers becoming ill or
dying from similar ailments in the United States. In some cases, the
soldiers, their families and civilian doctors blame vaccines given to
them by the military, particularly the anthrax or smallpox shots.

<snip>
"I would say that that number of cases among young healthy troops
would seem to be unusual," Dr. Jeffrey Sartin, an infectious diseases
doctor at the Gundersen Clinic in La Crosse, Wis., said about blood
clot deaths. Sartin, a former Air Force doctor, last spring treated a
soldier who might have died from anthrax or smallpox side effects.

<snip>
The Pentagon has been investigating cases of a mysterious pneumonia
that has killed two soldiers and put 17 more on ventilators. Besides
the pneumonia, there do not seem to be any unexpected health trends
given the number of troops in the region, said Army Surgeon General
spokeswoman Virginia Stephanakis....

What the hell's going on -- why all the hush-hush about this -- why are these vaccines so important -- why do they force them on the troops??

3. Here's why the vaccines are so important.
What better way to scare the troops and the American people into thinking that Saddam would use bio weapons than to require vaccinations for all troops going into Iraq.

Interesting artcle re blood clots and vaccines

"The government has reported 11 cases of unusual heart inflammation among military troops who got the smallpox vaccine. Three civilian deaths are also under investigation.

Furthermore, CBS is reporting one high-profile death that hasn't yet been counted - that of NBC Correspondent David Bloom. He died of an apparent blood clot in Iraq - several weeks after getting both the smallpox and anthrax vaccines. Researches have for years claimed there is a link between the smallpox vaccines and blood clots, though the link hasn't been widely accepted in the medical community."

7. David Bloom.

NBC. Mentioned in the article, I believe. They attributed the clot to being in a cramped position for a long time and dehydrated. But you never know. They may have just made the whole thing up.

9. On the day my husband left for Iraq
shots, both the anthra x(series starter or 2nd or 3rd shot-to include yearly) and smallpox were given to those who had yet to get either....down the line they went...sting...sting. Both shots, in one day, within seconds of each other.

He later told me many soldiers got sick on the flight and some went straight to hospitals once in country.

Fortunately, my husband can't take the smallpox vaccine(he's medically exempted) and he was already finished with his anthrax series, as well his yearly booster.
