Truck Fire Shuts Down Italy-France Tunnel
CHAMBERY, France - A tractor-trailer carrying tires caught fire Saturday inside an Alpine tunnel connecting France and Italy, prompting authorities to shut down the roadway, officials said. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Firefighters swarmed to the 8-mile-long Frejus tunnel, the national highway information center said.

1. wow... a story that is a metaphor for the current Euro-zone troubles....
with the French and Dutch No votes, Germany seriously doubting the euro, a truck full of tires burns in a tunnel connecting France and Italy. Burning tires is a popular action of populist protest in France, protesters used to burn tires outside of EuroDisney to protest free trade and American influence.
