CentCom: DETAINEE DIES OF WOUNDS (another one)

BAGHDAD, Iraq – A 20-year-old male security detainee who was medically evacuated to the 115th Field Hospital died April 24 at approximately 9:30 p.m. from gunshot wounds he received two weeks ago while engaging Coalition Forces.

Efforts to save the detainee’s life ended when he died of complications resulting from his wounds.

The remains will be transferred to the family upon completion of an autopsy. This is standing procedure for all detainees who die while in custody of the Multi-National Force.

The incident is currently under investigation.

Does anyone else find it interesting that CentCom does these sporadic releases regarding a detainee's death these days?

1. Interesting is about the only word that describes it. The

brutality is still going on. No one seems to be able to stop it. Nothing out of this administration can be believed. They white-washed to biggies about the torture--government investigating itself. If sanity does not return to us we are stymied.
