Iran, Venezuela to boost economic ties

CARACAS, March 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Iranian President Mohammad Khatami arrived here Thursday for a three-day visit aimed at boosting bilateral ties.

During the trip here, Khatami's third one in five years, the two sides are expected to sign several joint-venture agreements in various fields of industry.

The joint ventures will include a cement plant with an annual capacity of 1 million tons and an automobile assembly plant for sedans, both in Venezuela.

Besides, Khatami will inaugurate a tractor plant in the southeastern state of Boliviar. The joint venture between Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana and the Iran Tractor Manufacturing Co. has an annual capacity of up to 5,000 tractors, officials say.

1. Good for Iran and good for Venezuela!
While the US blusters, lies, and rattles swords - the rest of the world goes about their business and leaves the US in the dust, holding its breath. Boy, these US guys aren't very good businessmen, are they?

4. If this is the criteria, the coalition includes the UK. Iran is their #1
trading partner according to an interview I heard with Sy Hersh.
