Rutgers swastika painting investigated as bias attack
NEWARK, N.J. - Police are investigating a graffiti attack on several buildings on Rutgers University's main campus in New Brunswick, including a Jewish community center and a fraternity house, as a bias crime.

On Saturday morning, swastikas were found spray-painted on Rutgers Hillel. They were also painted on the porch and front door of Alpha Epsilon Pi, an historically Jewish fraternity.

The Anti-Defamation League is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

"For two years, Jewish students at Rutgers University have been subjected to some of the most virulent anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic activities in the country," said Shai Goldstein, the group's New Jersey regional director. "These kinds of attacks are essentially attacks on America and democracy."

1. isn't this just
an advertising tactic for the Rutgers Young Republican Association announcing their on-campus voter registration drive?

2. Jim, Jim, Jim...
what am I going to do with you?

We must wait before the graffiti investigation is completed before we jump to any conclusions about this being any sort of "bias" crime! I know, because I/P told me so...it was explained to me that this is all a simple response to the fact that Scharansky had the temerity to speak...that's what they told me, so it must be true.

Shalom, baby! :pals:  :pals:

5. Swastika at ASU as well
Swastika graffiti was painted on the Islamic Cultural Center at Arizona State University last week. Different target, same hate. They think they have pictures of the perpetrators though, so perhaps they will be caught.

As an aside, notice how the ADF director equates anti-Israel=anti-Zionist=anti-Semitic.

9. Only when it's virulent - you know, like foaming and spewing.
Not referring to what we do on the Web. So you can relax, he didn't mean you.

7. Just an aside..
when I was little I was taught that was the sign of the spinning log,(a sort of good omen) you could find it in much of the art work in the Southwest. My Grandfather had to quit using it in his paintings in the fourties, he always hoped that one day good men would win it back, but alas, I think not. :(

8. What? The painting of swastikas on buildings could possibly be ...

11. That is an excellent question and
for your answer, please go to I/P and read 95% of the hatred as it spews forth. I'm not saying one of them did this, but...
