Bush: Iraq Voting Will Help Change World
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050...

<snip>

Speaking at Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (news - web sites)'s ceremonial swearing-in at the State Department Friday, the president linked the voting to elections in Afghanistan (news - web sites), Ukraine and among the Palestinians on the West Bank and in Gaza.

"Freedom is on the march, and the world is better for it," Bush said.

Iraqis are voting for an interim assembly, which is then to write a constitution for the country.

"The advent of democracy in Iraq (news - web sites) will serve as a powerful example to reformers throughout the entire Middle East," Bush said.

1. Personally I think this might change the world
by forcing nations to rethink naked aggression

but the threat received no responses whatever.

4. The rotting lying putrescent flatulence that comes out of the Imperial Pie
Hole is quite amazing.

If you close your eyes your can hear the voice of Hitler saying how "the peace loving German people do not want war".

Kissing cousins, those two.

One is Kinder and Gentler (only because he cannot yet start the Full Program and because of culutral differences between the nations), but they belong to the same Family of Leaders.

And NOBODY outside the Fox-addled Imperial Subjects of Amerika believes the Busheviks are even the slightest bit interested in democracy.

Disgusting and grotesque. Orwellian and monstrous.

And yes, perhaps just what we deserve for allowing it to happen.

6. It Will Change The World, All Right
It will provide incontrovertible, can't explain away proof that George W Bush is a totally incompetent, corrupt, and evil man and he should be locked away after a thorough trial airing his crimes in the Hague, along with his 20 closest advisors.

US troops likely to stay in Iraq after election: Bush

www.chinaview.cn 2005-01-28 15:10:39

WASHINGTON, Jan. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- US President George W. Bush said US troops would probably stay in Iraq after the landmark Jan.30 election as likely winners of the vote had showed the intention to retain them.

In an interview published Friday by The New York Times, Bush said he had heard the voices of "the people that presumably will be in positions of responsibility after these elections," and "it seems that most of the leadership there understands that there will be a need for coalition troops at least until the Iraqis are able to fight."

However, Bush said US forces would move out if asked by the newIraqi government.

"Yes, absolutely," he responded to the question whether American troops would withdraw at the request of Iraqis. "This is a sovereign government -- they're on their feet."

"likely winners"?
"the people that presumably will be in positions of responsibility after these elections,"?

The voters in Ir*q do not even know who is on the ballot, but gwb already knows the LIKELY WINNERS?

Big surprise.
This sux and sux and sux.
More horrified every passing day.

Iraq Elections Will Change the World, Bush Says
President, Secretary Rice Tout 'Transformational' Foreign Policy

By William Branigin
Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, January 28, 2005; 12:34 PM

President Bush, attending a ceremonial swearing-in of Condoleezza Rice as his new secretary of state, said today that elections in Iraq on Sunday will help change the world, advancing his goal of ending "widespread hatred and radicalism" and thus making the United States more secure.

>SNIP>

The interview, in which Bush provides some personal details of his presidency, was conducted by C-SPAN President and chief executive Brian Lamb yesterday and is scheduled to air Sunday night. A transcript was released today.

Asked about his reading, Bush said he reads "a lot of history books," as well as daily briefing papers. "I read -- oh, gosh, I'd say, you know, 10 maybe different memorandi prepared by staff," Bush said. After he goes to bed, he said, he reads books to help him sleep -- "on a good night, maybe 20 to 30 pages."

Bush said he does not watch much television, and that when he does, he watches mainly sports. He said he typically starts work at 6:50 to 7 a.m., goes back to his residence around 5:30 p.m., exercises for an hour, eats dinner and goes to bed.

Bush added that "trying to solve big problems" may be in his DNA. "I really want it to be said that he came, he served every day for eight years to the best of his ability and left behind a better America and a better world."

MY COMMENT: You can be damn sure that America and the rest of the world will be "better" the day he leaves office...
