Republicans Ask For His Resignation

Jan. 25 (ABC7) — The calls are even louder now for Secretary of State Kevin Shelley to resign, after yet another scathing report was released about him about how he may have mistreated employees, particularly women. Plus, we learn that some key documents have disappeared. ABC7's Capitol Correspondent Nannette Miranda reports.

Kevin Shelley is still licking his wounds from the last report. This new report sides with five women who say Shelley created a hostile and abusive work environment by ranting and screaming at them, at times using obscenities.

Particularly troubling to the State Personnel Board were the claims of sexual harassment by one of the five women. identified in the report only as "Ms. C."

The executive officer didn't call it a cover-up, but expressed suspicion because some of the internal reports on Shelley's behavior have disappeared.
