Sen. Clinton Chides Bush on Women's Health Policy (Reuters)
Edited on Wed Jan-12-05 06:39 AM by Lone_Star_Dem
By Evelyn Leopold

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said the Bush administration was making it hard for the poor to receive the full range of reproductive health services by putting too much emphasis on abstinence to combat AIDS.

Speaking at a dinner to hundreds of women's rights and health activists on Tuesday night, the New York Democrat urged advocacy groups not to give up "despite the less-than-friendly atmosphere we currently face in Washington with the current administration."

President Bush administration is backing Uganda's policy on AIDS prevention, called ABC, which stands for abstinence, being faithful and condom use. But at international conferences the United States puts the emphasis on abstinence rather than contraceptives, especially among single people

Clinton noted the administration had cut funds to any organization that provided abortions or advocated counseling or legalization of abortion.

1. keep 'em barefoot and pregnant
and in their place, that's the Boosh policy. Poor people are poor because they have done something wrong, doncha know. They should be punished, and the rich rewarded. Oh, and all kids are guilty of something, so tasers and strip searches in schools should become the norm. </sarcasm>

4. Maybe Bush could commission a pretty picture book of his life
which could be used universally to teach people of ALL languages how to behave! We could zip right past the need for translations into other languages. Just photos of Bush, from boyhood all the way to Right-Wing God, pictures being worth 1,000 words, etc.

Giving women a choice over their own bodies is unacceptable.

Talk about irreconcilable differences!!!

(except that both usurp personal liberty/freedom from individuals)

9. Hillary Clinton - The greatest disappointment the world has ever seen
Hillary Clinton was once seen by the rest of the Anglo saxon world outside of the US in very similiar light to Lady Di - except with brains!! and a desire to really fight what is wrong in the Anglo-Saxon world. Even Bill's "headjob" under the Presidential table increased her popularity amongst the rest of the Anglo-Saxon world's intelligensia for her own intelligence. Hillary Clinton had massive support outside of the US for her "unelected" ideas even if she didn't know it her herself. Then Bill leaves and Hillary gets "elected" off here own back for New York State. Anglo Saxon's outside the US are excited - She could possibly be the Democratic answer to "Maggie Thatcher" - oh, and also the first female president - Shock horror. Cunnilingus under the table sounds much more interesting! Then the Democratic party completely "fucks up". We'll run Al Gore then John Kerry - Have you guys completely lost the plot! No wonder Karl Rove and the "Bush" Empire are laughing all the way to the bank!!! These two guys although nice people had absolutely "NO CHANCE". Hoplessely indecisive about nearly everything, including how the US treats the "Rest of the world"!! Had you run Hillary immediately, the current world hatred for the US wouldn't be there! Oh, maybe you guys and gals haven't realized- yes the rest of the world "hates you" and is actively working to bring your "Bushco Empire" down quitely. You can all complain bitterly about "Jesusland" but "The United States of Canada" is not doing enough to help "The Rest of the World" - All you seem to be doing is "Killing us", Stealing oil, trying to force us to buy your weapons and forceably convert us to your version of religion. And you voted for this!!!!!
So, glorious chance for Hillary to educate the US populace - She's the EX-Presidents wife - She surely flew around the "Rest of the World" with the "Dawg" and found out!. But "NO"! Nothing - Hillary has been the most disappointing Democrat from "The Rest of the World's" point of view. And you Democrats have some excellent "male ideas" emerging from the likes of Kucinich (i know i spelt his name wrong!), Dean, Clarke,Obama and Edwards, but all are unelectable. Fantastic administration but won't win!! In fact outside of Gingrich- because his first name's "Newt" which is the name given to a type of European lizard, nobody outside of the US, could name a Rethuglican senator or House of Repper!! We can name White House people, and Pentagon people who i note, unlike "The Rest of the Anglo-Saxon World" are not elected, but personally selected by your elected President (This system is not democratic as it will encourage corruption of the highest order!). Maybe i'm trying to say far to much in a single post but believe me Hillary needs to get "Pissed off" - Think about Monica and "Whitewater" and "Ken Star" if she has to. She knows she's got glorious opportunities to expose "Bushco" for what it is and she refuses to take them, at the "Rest of the World's expense" - We are dying at Bushco's mercy and still she refuses to "Rock the Boat" - Our greatest dissapointment!
