WASHINGTON - Former presidential candidate Howard Dean (news - web sites), once the early front-runner for the Democratic nomination whose candidacy stumbled, has decided to seek the party's chairmanship, several Democrats said Tuesday.

2. I think he would make a great DNC Chairman. He's innovative ..
enough to provide some new ideas and energy to the Democratic Party. I also believe he is more of a "grass roots" type than the other candidates for DNC that I have seen mentioned.
