-------------------------

This seems to show a lot of party interest in this race and state. It is indicitive of the important role VA will play in the Dem party in the years to come. With Warner possibly unseating a popular senator or maybe even running for president - it can only be helped by maintaining strong party loyalty within the state.

Thoughts?

1. glad to hear it
losing VA by only 9% with Kerry never campaigning there during the general election is hopefully a good sign of things to come in VA.

3. Our next Gov MUST be a Dem!!
We have to revive the party in VA. Warner has done a good job of keeping a Dem foot in the door. We MUST get Kaine elected and it would be nice if we could work on getting some other seats the following year.

Volunteering is needed RIGHT now.

Getting Kaine's name on the ballot is the first major project

5. The DNC is taking some heat.
This is a counter: "see, we are doing something".

The method determines the outcome, y'know.

7. All kinds
I have never voted on anything but the old lever/curtain machines but they use punch cards and electronic machines as well as others I suspect.

8. It is determined by city or county.
Fairfax County has WinVote touchscreen systems, aka black box. I can't swear that the "fix" wasn't on our systems, but we did pretty well for a red state, My precinct went 58% for Kerry.

Other counties where I have voted in this state had either levers or Chads. They didn't exactly count chads, they counted the absence of them.
