Florida Dems begin two-week tour of state universities ("Donkeys Rock")
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP)

The Florida Democratic Party will begin a two-week tour Monday of the state's universities as part of a voter registration drive it's calling "Donkeys Rock."

Party Chairman Scott Maddox and other top officials will drive from city to city and set up registration booths as well as provide entertainment from live bands or DJs.

"It's like a campaign again," said party spokeswoman Allie Merzer. "It's a massive get-out-the-vote registration drive, but more importantly it's reaching out to students and young professionals to tell them about the party and what the party can do for them." ---
