Baghdad Police Deputy Shot Dead
Edited on Mon Jan-10-05 02:07 AM by bling bling
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4160479.stm

Brigadier Amer Ali Nayef was shot dead along with his son, Khalid Amer - also a policeman - as they left the family home for work in the south of the city.

Violence has been escalating in Iraq ahead of elections due on 30 January.

It is the second killing of a senior official in less than a week. Last Tuesday, Baghdad governor Ali al-Haidri was shot dead in a roadside ambush.

4. And why are we there?
Now Powell says violence will increase after the elections.

How many of our troops does he/Bush wish to sacrifice for the corporate globalists. Profits show that Bush backers in the region have shown the largest profits in their history. Paid for by U.S. taxpayers, our troops, and the Iraqis.

One poster earlier said that Bush will continue to fool Americans. I don't believe so. At some point the "survival of the fittest" must kick in and Americans will refuse to go along with the GOP suffer the poor to redistribute the wealth to the rich routine. I believe some are awakening each day.

6. its a sign that the enemy is getting more "desperate" we should rejoice!
at such remarkable progress. Now if they knocked out the prime minister, that would proved to the neo-cons that they have succeeded in stomping out hte insurgent threat.
