Lieberman sees improved American relationship with Palestinians
snip...........

"The Palestinian Authority has chosen a democratic path to its future, and for America, which values democracy and the rule of law, this is a very hopeful sign," Lieberman told a Jerusalem news conference.

"What is interesting is that we are at the beginning of what is possibly a new and better bilateral relationship between the United States and the Palestinian Authority, based now on their choice of a democratic path."

However, Lieberman said, the Palestinians still have to prove they are committed to stopping violence against Israel.

"All of this of course will be affected by the extent to which the new leadership of the Palestinians commits itself to fight terrorism," he said.

1. Don't trust this neocon.
How are you going to have a Palestinian state with all these Jewish settlements on their land? Pull them out first and not just the Gaza ones either.

2. Hilarious.
Abbas is a despot just like Arafat (only more capitulationist, and that's why they like him).

4. Relations will improve because the weight of everything is on Sharon
there is no more scapegoat...They will have to improve relations just to make the case that Arafat was the obstacle to peace and not the occupation.
