<Edit: I will update this info into the letter below in a little while.> http://www.independentmediasource.com/voteintegrity.htmWith this new program, you are able to email 392 national media contacts with just four clicks of your email send button! In addition, there is a "Tell Everyone You Know" page that will enable you to quickly email all your personal contacts. First, a little background information:
This program is based on the highly successful "Stop Sinclair" email program. If you recall, Sinclair broadcasting was going to show the anti-Kerry smear "documentary" on its 25 stations. The end result was that this email campaign (along with other efforts) was able to not only stop the films showing on its scheduled date, but it also caused the Sinclair stock to plummet 17%. And, according to the website, it cost Sinclair $10 million dollars!
Plain and simple, media email campaigns work! Keith Olbermann, who is, in effect, the only national media to give the potential presidential election vote fraud issue both fair and adequate coverage, constantly asks us to "Keep those email coming at [email protected]" And, shortly, after the election, I heard Peter Jennings complained on-air, that they were doing the (lousy) story, just to stop so many emails from coming. The media knows that the emails they get are only "the tip of the iceberg". For everyone they get, there may be 1,000 people that don't write, but feel the same way!
So, you may want to read the letter below first. But then go "do your part". Together, we can force the national media to keep the spotlight on the recount in Ohio - and other voting irregularities. No more "Florida 2k" situations where the media didn't do their job!

Hi,
I’m emailing you because there is increasing evidence of potential vote fraud in our 2004 Presidential election; and the national media is ignoring it, or putting it down. It is being described as a “news Lockdown” on this story. Literally hundreds of cases of voting irregularities have been uncovered. (Some typical examples are listed below.) It is so serious that independent political parties (Greens and Libertarians and other groups), have raised money and are recounting the ballots in several States.
It is still possible that the election could be overturned if enough votes are found. The following are all quotes from Keith Olbermann’s 11-22 blog below]: “Kerry/Edwards Campaign Participates In Ohio Recount “ “…they take the possibility (of a Kerry victory) and the need for a recount seriously.” “There in fact will be a recount…” “the Provisionals plus the “Undercount” could make things very close indeed.” http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6210240
All this is very encouraging, but without adequate and fair national media coverage, the GOP-biased Ohio officials could “sweep this under the rug”, like what happened in Florida in 2000. Unfortunately, the national media’s track record over the last weeks since the election does not indicate they will cover the Ohio recount either adequately or fairly.
This lack of fair and adequate national media coverage is so serious; I’m asking you to do something. Please go to the following site and email the national media, letting them know you expect them to cover this situation “right”! It’s very easy to do. In just four clicks of your email send button, you can send emails to 392 national media contacts! http://www.independentmediasource.com/voteintegrity.htm
Please do it now! Our future Democracy may very well depend on it.
Thank you for helping all of us,

1) "FBI denies warning officials of any special threat" Warren County officials, facing scrutiny of their decision to lock down the administration building on election night, say they were responding to a terrorist threat that ranked a "10" on a scale of 1 to 10.
The information, which Commissioner Pat South said was previously deemed confidential, is coming out a week after the public was barred from viewing the Warren County vote count. The Ohio Secretary of State's office doesn't know of any other county in the state to impose such a restriction.
County officials initially said they feared that having reporters and photographers present could interfere with the ballot counting. They subsequently cited homeland security concerns.
Now, they say an FBI agent told them that Warren County ranked a "10" on a terrorism scale. However, state and federal homeland security officials said Tuesday they were unaware of any specific threat against the county. http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2004/11/10/loc_warrenvote10.html a HUGE scandal. The lack of coverage of this story indicates there is a “news lockdown" on potential Presidential election voting fraud!]
2) "UC Berkeley Research Team Sounds 'Smoke Alarm' for Florida E-Vote Count" Statistical Analysis - the Sole Method for Tracking E-Voting - Shows Irregularities May Have Awarded 130,000 - 260,000 or More Excess Votes to Bush in Florida. http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=109&STORY=/www/story/11-18-2004/0002464301&EDATE= behind it. This will become a MAJOR EMBARRASSMENT for the national media - considering the lack of appropriate coverage!]
3) “The Unexplained Exit Poll Discrepancy:” By Steven F. Freeman (Professor Freeman is a statistician at the University of Pennsylvania) http://truthout.org/unexplainedexitpoll.pdf Update: 11-22 http://www.dakotatechnics.com/downloads/Steve_Freeman.zip Information regarding this study: http://www.mysterypollster.com/"Kerry's standing in exit polls exceeded the actual result in 15 of the 16 states for which Slate's Jack Shafer posted results at 7:38 EST on Election Night. Freeman's data show the same pattern in 10 of 11 states. This is akin to flipping a coin and having it come up heads 10 of 11 times, an outcome with a probability of 0.6% or 167 to 1. So Freeman is right when he says it is nearly impossible to explain these discrepancies by sampling error alone.” coverage from the same site: “I object most to belittling dismissals of these second set of hypotheses and allegations (e.g, Manuel Roig-Franzia and Dan Keating, “Latest Conspiracy Theory -- Kerry Won -- Hits the Ether” Washington Post, November 11, 2004; Tom Zeller, Jr. "Vote Fraud Theories, Spread by Blogs, Are Quickly Buried" New York Times November 12, 2004-Page 1), along with unquestioning acceptance as “explanations” the hypotheses and allegations about poll error.”]
4) "Washington Post's Sloppy Analysis:" "...signaled their determination to put questions about Bush’s victory outside the bounds of responsible debate. Yet, if they hadn’t been so set in this agenda, they might have avoided sloppy mistakes and untrue assertions. In an example of their slipshod reporting, Roig-Franzia and Keating state that we focused our data analysis on rural counties in Florida. They suggest that Bush’s gains in these rural counties might be explained by the greater appeal of son-of-the- South Al Gore in 2000 than Bostonian John Kerry in 2004. But we didn’t focus on rural counties in Florida. Rather we looked at the vote tallies statewide and zeroed in on Bush’s performance in the larger, more metropolitan counties of southern and central Florida, where Bush got the vast majority of his new votes over his state totals in 2000. http://www.consortiumnews.com/2004/111204.html Parry, a former media "insider". It is also valuable since it debunks some of the unfair "debunking".]
5)The Keith Olbermann shows (week of 11-8 to 11-12) particularly made an effort to be fair and balanced. For example, where he compared the Caltech/MIT study to the one from U of Penn (Freeman’s study mentioned above). The Caltech study found no significant statistical aberration on a state-by-state basis. However, Olbermann pointed out that they included ALL states; as where the U of Penn study only included the swing states, and it showed a significant statistical aberration. Keith concluded that this study is more relevant in determining whether potential voting fraud occurred, since it wouldn't be necessary to "jack up" the vote totals in non-swing states. positively for not interfering with his reporting this story, and for covering it seriously early on.] http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6210240
And the list goes on and on. And no adequate national media coverage! For example, Rep. Conyers, and five other Congressmen, asked the GAO to investigate voting irregularities. A Google news search of “Conyers/GAO” turns up NO national media headlines! This is a national disgrace for American journalism. <“House Dems Seek Election [br />Inquiry”] http://www.wired.com/news/evote/0,2645,65623,00.html?tw=wn_tophead_3
