8 Iraqi Guardsmen killed in Ramadi ambush

Insurgents launched a deadly ambush Sunday in the guerrilla stronghold of Ramadi, killing eight Iraqi National Guardsmen and injuring 18 others, police said.

The Iraqi forces were on patrol in the city center when gunmen opened fire on their convoy around 4:00 p.m., said Capt. Nasser Abdullah from the Anbar provincial police force.

Abdul Moneim Aftan, head of Ramadi General Hospital, said all of the casualties suffered from gunshot wounds.

U.S. and Iraqi troops have been battling insurgents every day for weeks in Ramadi, located 70 miles west of Baghdad.

3. They don't have any body armor................

hell, some of OUR soldiers don't have body armor yet. I forgot what the numbers were, but someone published a report saying how many more Americans would be dead without having body armor. It was an astounding amount. Instead, we have many more soldiers missing arms, legs and other body parts, but they're ALIVE! Now they have the opportunity to get screwed over by the VA and have the Pentagon (White House) cut their benefits because they didn't die! What a great country Bush Amerika is!

2. Who the hell in their right mind................

would enlist as an Iraqi Guardsman now? I know there are NO jobs in Iraq right now and people have to put food on their families, but enlisting as a Guardsman is just asking for a one way ticket to see Allah.
