| OMG... PUKE!!! GQ Magazine says repukes better in bed, WTF?!? |
 |
Interviewed by the bowtie no less..... someone shoot me. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11979370 / Republicans assert dominance in the bedroom Magazine article researches which party rates better at sex Republicans control Congress and the White House. According to an informal study in the latest issue of “GQ” magazine, the GOP is also asserting its dominance over Democrats in the bedroom. The anonymous author, who wrote the piece for “GQ” reports “After years of intensive research on both sides of the aisle, I’m here to report that Republican men are infinitely better to have sex with.” The article in the April issue of “GQ” lays out 10 reasons why Republicans are better and kinkier in the sack. SICK SICK SICK

Sorry for the f-bomb, but the very idea that this is some kind of valid "thesis" is absurd! Did she really fuck ALL the Democrats and ALL the Republicans? And, if not, what's a fair sample? 50 of each for a total of 100 men? Or 250 each for a total of 500? And what about the Independents? Did she throw in one or 2 for good measure? OR did some independents TELL her they were Democrats just to get a piece of the action?

"According to an informal study"
here's some random quotes from miss malkin's refutation of the "whiny repuke baby" story:
"It is not mentioned anywhere in the text..."
"it could just as easily be argued that..."
"But on a more informal, anecdotal level..."
"from my personal observation..."
"I can assure you that whatever data they gathered..."
"Maybe they were whiny because..."
"Someone should follow up..."

hmm...yep, sounds about right to me.
If they were to provide the actual survey, hold it to any kind of scrutiny whatsoever and the author spoke of his/her results, it's fall apart.
It's vague, unsubstantiated and slanted. Sounds like something right up the alleys of the repukes.

that's why he won't say who the 'woman' is. He invited Tucker out to dinner so they could conduct their 'own experiment'! I'm so glad I don't have tv anymore ~ when I read this kind of garbage I'm so glad I'm not paying for it ~ Tucker loves this kind of stuff. He's begging for attention, like the time he said women need a good spanking or some such nonsense. He's trying to get a reaction, hoping a bunch of liberals will jump all over him, but judging by his numbers, it's not working. They're like little boys, trying to get mommy's attention ~ and soooooo jealous of all those sexy, liberal men!! What an inane conversation ~ they just don't have 'it' and it would be impossible to explain to them what 'it' is!! Pathetic attempt at trying to create a controversy, because truth, in their minds, doesn't sell. Tucker says he's all roused up by this 'woman'. I bet it's a freeper guy who wrote it ~ wishful thinking!

After all, this is the same man that was quoted a couple of months back stating that women "need a good spanking once in awhile". I wonder if his wife will be happy to learn that he thought some field experiments would be in order at a local bar with the editor of "GQ". Let's face it, the biggest sex organ in the human body is the brain, and Tucker Carlson seems to have been born without one.
>The anonymous author, who wrote the piece for “GQ” reports “After years of intensive research on both sides of the aisle, I’m here to report that Republican men are infinitely better to have sex with.”<
How can I tactfully put this? I don't know how you ladies feel, but I think I'll pass on the party of Lindsay Graham, Rick Santorum, and Bill O'Reilly. I'd rather SuperGlue my knees together.
Fondly, Julie
p.s. I'd bet $20 that Ann Coulter wrote the article, but I'm hard pressed to imagine any Democrat that would ever sleep with her.

IF they are so good--why are Republican women so repressed and mean and nasty (See Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkan, et al)? IF they are so good, why send the ugliest little bastard they got out to tell everyone else how good they are? The Republicans I have "researched", were all LITTLE squids who thought they were God's gift.

And their charm? She’s like, you know, they come in. They take control. They tell you what they want to do. And I guess she’s found out that’s very attractive to a woman.
Oh I am quivering.
Love the part She has a line in here about Republicans. They understand that foreplay is about sex and lots of it. Democrats are too busy checking if the condoms you keep by the bed are good for the environment.

If the person who wrote this believes in what they wrote, or if some sad sap gets a spring in his step from reading it, that can't be helped. In fact, I think it's a doubly effective diss. On the one hand, it takes constant swipes at Republicans, while simultaneously taking them for such chumps that they'll smile because they think their egos are being stroked." http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/33879/

 |
However, as there is often some truth in a stereotype, there are many young women who are clearly more attracted to type A "alpha" males, in keeping with the repug "might makes right" mentality, and consciously avoid males lacking such trappings and attributes.
Apologists for this will usually site biological hard-wiring as the reason: women seek out partners who are demonstrative, highly competitive, and on a primitive level, attract on the basis of being a better provider/protector. It's an obviously preferred rationale, one which avoids socio/environmental conditioning as the primary determinant that reveals the preference for "might makes right" as it manifests in modern consumer culture: conforming to the superficial prescription set forth by cold, corporatized values which appeal to the manipulation of lowest common denominator.
That said, however, people's concept of what constitutes true love and good sex varies quite a bit.

And for that reason, probably in name a feminist, but everything she says is kind of antifeminist. She makes the point that men who don’t decide or proclaim where you’re having dinner are wusses. And there’s nothing less appealing than a wuss. Whatever happened to the kind of, you know, the feminist view that we go Dutch on dinner and we, you know, come to a group decision on things like that? HAINEY: I think she’s simply saying, you know, maybe she’s more of a Hillary Clinton. She wants a stronger man there. I don’t think you should be threatened, Tucker. CARLSON: I’m not threatened at all. I’m kind of aroused, honestly. I mean, she likes Republicans, because they have no conscience and they’re less sensitive. HAINEY: Exactly, yes, and because you know, they have no regard for who’s going to be going into debt or anything. -snip- No conscience, less sensitive & debt... yeah, that really does it for me.

| 122. I have to say that, in my experience it could be said to be true |
 |
Not that I've slept with any outright Republicans -- or, at least I don't think so -- but, it is my wide-ranging experience that the less educated a man, the better he is in bed. The most well-educated men with whom I've had relations were the worst lovers. They either had issues with their sexuality, were impotent, had lower sex drives, had problems with their sexual narrative and were more self-conscious. I think that these things were simply side-effects of being complex, or overly analytical, more eager to please the woman, and non-absolutist opinions on sexuality. As far as "dominance," it seems that the smarter men were more concerned with mutual pleasure, and were much more feminized.
I think that its possible that liberals are worse lovers, simply because of two things: I think that more liberals take drugs and have alcohol problems, and supersmart men have sexual "issues." More moderate, less-educated, traditional values types are just kind of dumber, and meatier. And, just because they're "dominant," it doesn't mean they're just rough and selfish, either.
That said, I've never been happy with either kind of male -- the dumber ones didn't provide intellectual stimulation, and the smarter ones were just too sexually maudlin and complex.
And, I believe that MOST men fall in the middle, and that this study is actually bullshit, and that, when all is said and done, there are probably good lovers from both pools, and intellectually stimulating men on both sides.

Yes, the study is BS, but it does raise interesting points. I don't think it has to do with a person being a liberal or conservative, per se. It has to do with how comfortable and creative one is with his own sexuality. Even though I'm a progressive, I'm the most masculine person in my wife-to-be's life. Other guys were metrosexual or had very feminine qualities about them. She (who is very liberal) says that I'm by far the best and most daring lover. As for taking control, truth is that many women like to be taken charge of in bed (not all the time, mind you) as it adds to the rush. As for me, I have days that I like to take charge, and other days, no...she says the best ones are when I do.

But there's no reason to generalize all women based on this experience. The older I get the more comfortable I am with my sexuality and that includes getting quite a thrill out of "taking charge".

 |
We let the world's problems weigh more heavily on us. We worry more in general. Smarter "EQ" are less analytical when it comes to emotions.
High IQ people, male and female both, more often seem to see overt sexuality in both genders as uncouth. Most of my favorite men tend to lean more to the right than I am, and they are the type of guys who make no apologies for being men, they enjoy it. Put a beer in their hand and stick them on barbeque grill duties and they're happy. Put a good bra and a low-cut bodice on me, and they've got a happy grin on.

| 126. They missed a few 30-yr-old stereotypes |
 |
but only a few.
How difficult would it be for another "anonymous woman" to write another article drawing the opposite conclusion, based on equally stale stereotypes?
1. The "lazy welfare liberals" have more time on their hands, so they can spend hours in bed, whereas hardworking rightwingers have to actually WORK for a living and have little time to spare.
2. The "rich limousine liberals" can seduce you with champagne and strawberries, whereas rightwingers might offer you a Bud.
3. 90% of Black men vote Democratic, and you know what they say about them.
4. Real men -- which is to say rightwingers -- don't care about grooming; it's just gay. Unfortunately, the scent of ball sweat is not an aphrodisiac.
5. Liberals are perverted, immoral, and unGodly -- they may read aloud books that ought to be banned ("The Story of O" or "My Secret Garden") whereas rightwingers are more likely to read Leviticus to get you in the mood. Unfortunately, that doesn't work.
6. Being overly-sensitive wussy men, liberals ask inappropriate questions during sex, such as "Does this feel good to you?" Whereas manly men ask "dominant" questions like, "Are you through yet?" Contrary to GQ writers' opinions, the latter is not a turn-on.
7. Bleeding-heart liberals who support pro-women legislation also tend to engage in foreplay; Manly Republicans have a natural aversion to catering to women, and forego foreplay -- unless scratching their balls counts.
8. Liberals are overly-emotional, and frequently say those three little words "I love you." Assertive rightwing lovers prefer the three little words, "We got beer?"
9. Liberals are pessimistic, so they think of their actual partner during sex, no matter what their partner looks like. Rightwingers like to "focus on the good" and if there's no "good," they make it up. That's why they need to fantasize about other people during sex, which works until they inadvertently cry out, "Jeffff!!!"
10. After sex, Liberals -- who have no ideas of their own -- say trite phrases like, "Wow that was great" or "Was it good for you?" Some even light cigarettes. Manly Republicans say things like, "That was even better than last month" or "What's the charge?"

I'm sure Tucker loves every chance he gets to talk about sex. After all, it's Forbidden. It's Titillating. God knows he doesn't have much else to pontificate about, so he's forced, FORCED I tell you, to discuss fictitious information about other people's sexuality. His ratings would be higher if he had something substantive to talk about.
I don't mean to start the flame war of all time, but the guy's got four kids. I've read some of his interview comments about women, etcetera. It's hard for me to believe that there is a woman with positive brain wave activity that would agree to sleep with him.
