Bare Naked "Working Girls"....Up Close & Personal

OK. Maybe the Thread Title is slightly misleading, but these are really our Working Girls.
We started two Bee colonies in the Spring. Both colonies are doing very well.
They are undoubtedly responsible for the exceptional productivity of our Veggie Garden this Summer.

The Girls keep us company in the garden, and are hard at work everywhere around our place, pollinating flowers and making honey.
The female HoneyBee does ALL the WORK, and when we see them, we refer to them as our "Working Girls".

I've tried several times to get Close Up "In Flight" photos of The Girls, but none were very good until yesterday. I added a 20mm Kenko Macro spacer to my 70-200mmVR lens and am very happy with the results.

The Basil in our garden has flowered, and the girls LOVE it, so I had plenty of bees to work with. The Basil is also a lush green color, and with the white flowers makes a nice background color for the bees.
