In this email update:

1. Statewide rally for David Parker on board for Sunday, June 5!

2. Still sending shockwaves across the country: “Little Black Book” -- pornographic homosexual "how-to" booklet given to hundreds of kids at Brookline High School April 30. AND MORE TO COME!

3. Father to demand answers from Shrewsbury School Committee tonight (Wednesday) about “oral sex” questions on school survey for 6th graders.

4. MORE REPORTS COMING. Events this past week. So much has happened we can’t keep up with it !!!

5. Yes, we still need your support to fight the battle!

=== 1. Statewide rally for David Parker on board for Sunday afternoon, June 5! This MUST NOT be allowed to happen in America! ===

This man must be supported!

This will be a statewide rally of support for the man who finally stood up and said “Enough!” – who was willing to go to jail on a principle. And to make a statement in outrage over a government that would throw a man in jail, rather than let him intervene as they pushed homosexuality on his kindergarten-age son.

David Parker is the Lexington father arrested, handcuffed, and taken to jail. Click here for full report! How can this happen in America?

We are living in a defining time in history. This is your opportunity to learn, understand, and become active.

Speakers include Mr. Parker, Brian Camenker, and others to be announced. They will address:

One year of homosexual 'marriage' in Massachusetts -- its militant agenda and its effects in the schools, in society, and in your life. Where it has taken us, where it is going, and what you can do about it.

Mark your calendars:

Yes – this is important!

=== 2. Still sending shockwaves across the country: “Little Black Book” -- pornographic homosexual "how-to" booklet given to hundreds of kids at Brookline High School April 30. AND MORE TO COME! ===

As we’ve observed: This is a direct effect of one year of gay "marriage" in Massachusetts.

Click here for full report on Article 8 website!
http://www.article8.org/docs/news_events/glsen_043005/conference.htm

Over the past week the horror of the “Little Black Book” traveled across America (and other parts of the world) in a way we would have never imagined. It went around the Internet (our web site got over 1 million hits) and we were on almost non-stop talk radio, interviews, etc., for several days.

The homosexuals, after initially lying and denying everything, eventually were forced to admit that they’d given it out. And the Brookline Police Department and Norfolk County District Attorney, as one would expect, are trying to hide from this rather than do an investigation and actually charge someone for distributing pornography.

As we reported last week, this really is worse than anything you've ever seen. On April 30 the homosexual movement held another one of their statewide "Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network" conferences. which hundreds of children and teachers are invited. The purpose is to promote homosexuality in schools, elementary through high school. One book was prominently distributed at the first table, right after the registration desk. Titled "The Little Black Book - Queer in the 21st century", is not only incredibly disgusting in nature, but contains deadly misinformation on health. It was written by Boston-based "AIDS Action Committee" with help from Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Boston Public Health Commission. Funded also by major corporations, universities, even charities.

BUT THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF WHAT WE FOUND THERE THAT DAY. Over the next weeks we’ll be revealing more. This really is the dark underbelly of what the homosexual movement has in store for kids in the schools.

=== 3. Father to demand answers from Shrewsbury School Committee tonight (Wednesday) about “oral sex” questions on school survey for 6th graders. ===

Remember that bogus “Youth Risk Behavior Survey” that the state uses to “prove” that we need more homosexual programs in the schools? It’s become worse than ever. And individual towns are adding even more degrading questions for younger and younger kids.

Not only are towns giving these surveys to kids as young as 6th grade, but they’re not allowing the parents to get a copy – even AFTER the survey was given – because parents “might misinterpret it”, say school officials.

An outraged Shrewsbury father, Mark Fisher, has had enough. Tonight (Wednesday) he’s going before the Shrewsbury School Committee to demand answers. According to Mr. Fisher, Shrewsbury decided to add certain sexually explicit questions for children in his daughter’s 6th grade middle school, including a question about whether they indulge in oral sex.

In addition, said Fisher,"My concern is that the whole survey is especially inappropriate for 6th or 8th graders as it implicitly endorses these behaviors. The survey seems to say, it's OK to do this stuff, we just need to how many times you do it and with whom."

Good for him. We’ll let you know what happens. We’re told the media will be there.

=== 4. MORE REPORTS COMING. Events this past week. So much has happened we can’t keep up with it !!! ===

This has been an unbelievable week. Maybe it’s the one year “anniversary” of same-sex “marriages” that has emboldened the homosexual movement. We’ll have a full report on all of this coming up (and this is just a partial list):

Tuesday, 5/17: Gays celebrate their “anniversary” – Article 8 holds press conference at Boston City Hall Plaza outlining how things HAVE changed for the worse in Massachusetts.

Tuesday evening, 5/17: Parents confront the Lexington School Committee over the aggressive homosexual agenda in their schools.

Saturday, 5/21: “Homosexual youth day” sponsored by Gov. Romney’s “Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth.” Very weird and degrading stuff, with kids. A full day of “gay” parades and other “events” in downtown Boston. It’s really hard to believe a Republican governor would be sponsoring this.

Saturday night, 5/21: “Gay (and transgender) Prom” at Boston City Hall, sponsored by Mayor Thomas Menino and the City of Boston. A very sad situation, actually. Some obviously very confused kids mixing with very bizarre adults. A lot of males wearing women’s clothes. You can bet your life that Menino won’t be using pictures from this event in his re-election campaign literature.

And a lot more than that, which we haven’t mentioned. Keep checking out the website.

=== 5. Yes, we still need your support to fight the battle! ===

“The children here today remind us that there is no such thing as a spare embryo. Every embryo is unique and genetically complete, like every other human being. And each of us started out our life this way. These lives are not raw material to be exploited, but gifts.”

~ President George W. Bush, speaking yesterday an event with families who either adopted or gave up for adoption frozen embryos that remained after fertility treatments.

In this edition:

1. Stem cells on Beacon Hill, Capitol Hill
2. Upcoming Event: Abstinence Hike and Festival
3. Compromise reached in Senate on judges
4. Number 5 - Texas
5. Montgomery School Board drops sex ed curriculum
6. Boys from Christian schools less permissive
7. Upcoming Events

Please consider a tax deductible gift today to help MFI continue to work for the families of Massachusetts.

The Official MFI Web Log - www.mafamily.org/blog
Stem cells on Beacon Hill, Capitol Hill

The Massachusetts Legislature will vote to uphold or override Governor Romney’s expected veto of the embryonic stem cell and cloning bill on Tuesday, May 31st. This is our final opportunity to stop this unethical and morally wrong piece of legislation from becoming law in Massachusetts. If you have not done so, call your legislators today. Ask your pastor if he will mention on Sunday the urgent need to call legislators on this issue. Call your church today and see if they will place an item in this Sunday’s bulletin. Without a large grassroots uprising, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will arbitrarily redefine life as beginning 14 days after conception, making it open season on human embryos during those 2 weeks. The Statehouse switchboard can be reached at (617) 722-2000.

In Washington, the House of Representatives voted to loosen restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research by a final tally of 238-194. It took 50 Republicans to join with most Democrats to pass this bill despite a promised veto from President Bush. Under the House bill, the federal government could fund research involving embryonic stem cells no matter when they were created. Current federal law prevents government money from going towards research on stem cell lines created after August 2001. The vote is well short of the two-thirds majority that supporters would need to override Bush’s veto. If the president does in fact veto the bill, it would be the first veto of his administration.
“The bill would take us across a critical ethical line by creating new incentives for the ongoing destruction of emerging human life,” Bush said. “Crossing this line would be a great mistake.”
Upcoming Event: Abstinence Hike and Festival

On Saturday, June 4, teens from throughout New England will gather in support of abstinence in the first ever event of its kind in the nation! Join other teenagers who are making healthy relationship choices by participating in the Doin’ it Right 3 Miles for Abstinence Hike. There is still time for hikers to register and find people to sponsor their hike, providing essential resources to help teens and young moms.

This event is very important for the health of our nation. A teenage girl gets pregnant every 40 seconds in the United States, and each year 1 out of 4 sexually active teens contracts an STD (sexually transmitted disease). The impact is not just physical—2 out of 3 sexually experienced teens regret having sex and wish they had waited. Making the choice to wait to have sex is one of the most important things a teen can do.

Hiking on June 4th will not only strengthen your own commitment to abstinence but also will help more teens hear about and be supported in making healthy relationship choices, and provide young moms with support and services to help them through their pregnancies and into parenthood.

Join us for the Doin’ it Right 3 Miles for Abstinence Hike on June 4th at the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, MA! Christian recording artists, The Cross Movement, PAX 2-17 and New Breed will provide entertainment.

Compromise reached in Senate on judges

The following is from FRC President Tony Perkins’ “Washington Update”:

In the year 1790 the original 13 colonies ratified the U.S. Constitution; over two centuries later, 14 U.S. Senators (seven Republicans, seven Democrats) agreed to a "compromise" on judicial nominations that effectively legitimizes overriding the presidential power to appoint judges with only the "advice and consent" of the Senate. The seven Republicans who participated in the deal need to explain what Republicans gained in this "compromise" that they did not already have--other than the fickle admiration of the mainstream media. The crux of the "deal" is that three judicial nominees (Priscilla Owen, Janice Rogers Brown, and William Pryor) will finally get an up-or-down vote. The "compromise" appears to abandon judicial nominees like Brett Kavanaugh, William Myers, Henry Saad, Thomas Griffith and William Haynes. All of the abandoned candidates are outstanding nominees who deserve the same up-or-down vote by the whole Senate but still face an unprecedented judicial filibuster.

However, seven Republican Senators, playing the role of Neville Chamberlain, threw them overboard in the name of "compromise." Peace won by the compromise of principles is a short-lived achievement. Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) had it right when he described the "deal" on the Senate floor: "I fundamentally believe that it is our constitutional responsibility to give judicial nominees the respect and the courtesy of an up-or-down vote on the floor of the United States Senate. Investigate them. And question them. And scrutinize them. And debate them ... But then, vote ... each deserves a vote."

Number 5 - Texas

The Texas Senate passed a constitutional amendment to protect marriage last Saturday, making it the fifth state this year to send such an amendment to the voters. The amendment, which would protect marriage by banning both homosexual “marriage” and “civil unions”, goes to the voters on November 8, 2006. Texas joins Alabama, South Carolina, South Dakota and Tennessee as states that will be voting on marriage amendments next year. The amendment was approved in the Senate by a vote of 21-8, after having been previously passed by the House. Since Massachusetts became the first state to legally sanction same-sex marriage, thirteen states have passed amendments protecting marriage in each state’s constitution, bringing the total to eighteen. While no amendment has failed when put to the voters, the state of Nebraska found out that federal courts could overturn a marriage amendment, though approved by a margin of 70-30. (The Nebraska ruling is being appealed, and has a good chance of being overruled.) For this reason, Massachusetts Family Institute supports both state and federal constitutional bans on same-sex marriage.

Montgomery School Board drops sex ed curriculum

On Monday, the Montgomery County School Board voted to completely scrap a controversial sex education curriculum that was the subject of a federal lawsuit, and also voted to reconstitute the advisory committee that recommended adoption of the curriculum. On May 5, Judge Alexander Williams issued a Temporary Restraining Order against the curriculum, saying that the plaintiffs had demonstrated a likelihood of success on the merits of the claims that the sex education curriculum violated the Establishment Clause by showing a preference for religious organizations that were not “homophobic” and by urging referral to “sensitive clergy” to counsel students struggling with homosexuality, reported Liberty Council yesterday. Liberty Councel represents Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) and Citizens for a Responsible Curriculum (CRC) in the lawsuit against the school district.
“The Board’s actions send a strong message that other school districts should heed,” stated Mat Staver, President and General Counsel of Liberty Councel. “School Districts may not cross the line from instruction to engaging in indoctrination on socially sensitive topics such as sexual orientation. Schools are for instruction, not for ideological indoctrination.”

Boys from Christian schools less permissive

A Christian education makes teenage boys less permissive, according to research released today. The study done in England by Professor Leslie J. Francis (University of Wales, Bangor) surveyed 13,000 boys aged between 13 and 15. He found that while only 13 percent of boys at nondenominational schools were against pre-marital sex, the proportion jumped to 64 percent among Christian-educated students. He also discovered that 75 percent of Christian students said it was wrong to have sex before the legal age of consent at 16, compared with only 29 percent of other teenagers. On abortion, he found 73 percent of Christians saw abortion as always wrong, compared to 39 percent of others. The study also showed that Christian-educated boys were less likely to consider suicide or feel depressed.

CHRISTIAN ACTION LEAGUE
NEEDS YOUR HELP
RIGHT AWAY!

May 24, 2005

Dear Friend of the Christian Action League,

I’ve been serving as the Executive Director of the Christian Action League for nearly six years. During that time, I’ve never seen a more difficult year than this one. There are so many critical issues before the General Assembly: a proposal for a state-operated lottery, a Constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, a two year moratorium on the death penalty, a bill raising the alcohol content in beer from 6% to 15%, beer keg registration, a push requiring the Pledge of Allegiance be said in N.C. Schools. This is a time of incredible opportunity as well as danger.

Yet the Christian Action League continues to have to fight these battles with one hand tied behind our backs. Funding in recent months has slowed to a trickle, preventing us from sending mass mail outs that inform our constituents of how they can make a difference.

Moreover, our payroll has been running behind week after week. (I haven’t had a paycheck in two weeks.)

I don’t mean to complain, but this is no way to run a war – no way to fight the evil or seize the opportunities before us.

I am never comfortable with asking for funds, but I ask not simply for the Christian Action League. I ask for Christ’s sake! We desperately need your financial help at this time!

Please don’t turn this request away. I know you must get numerous requests from others for money. Nevertheless, keep in mind the Christian Action League works long hours every day, making huge sacrifices of family and personal time, to stay on point and fight the good fight of faith. Our staff works diligently in research, lobbying legislators and educating the public in a way that positively affects the moral climate of our State.

Is it too much to ask you to might make a sacrificial gift to our work for the kingdom of God?

We need to collect about $10,000 in the next two weeks. If everyone on our Email Issues Alert list would go to this web address, <snip> follow the prompts and donate at least $5.00 online, we would have the $10,000 we need very quickly.

If you would rather send a check or money order, you can send your gift to:

<snip>

Let me ask you to give generously to our ministry. You can give $5.00, $10.00, $25.00, $50.00, $100.00 or more. Whatever you choose to give, I beseech you not to turn us away. We need you! North Carolina needs you!

Yes, I’m begging! And I’m not ashamed to do it! There’s too much at stake! We can do much better!

God Bless,
Rev. Mark H. Creech
Executive Director
Christian Action League of North Carolina, Inc.

"Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder"

With grit, guts, and gusto, Michael Savage has made his talk show The Savage Nation a must-hear by fearlessly telling it like it is. Night after night, Savage savages today's rabid liberalism with verve and precision, speaking truths that other public figures are too politically correct or afraid to say. In his new book, Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder, he lays it on the line: "You will not have a nation," he says, "unless you awaken to the reality that America has become pacified; America has become feminized; and America is being compromised from without and within. You cannot let them get away with this.

Senate Confirms Owen Appeals Court Nomination
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Following a Monday deal to lift filibusters on a handful of appeals court nominees, the Senate has confirmed the first of President Bush's pro-life judicial picks. Senators confirmed Texas Supreme Court judge Priscilla Owen, who is backed by pro-life groups for a spot on the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Owen received a 56-43 vote, less than the 60 votes that would have been needed to stop the filibuster had the deal not been in place. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist applauded the vote saying Owen "withstood an orchestrated partisan attack on her record." With Owen approved, the Senate will vote next on the nominations of three Michigan judges for a federal appeals court and the pro-life nominations of William Pryor for the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and Janice Rogers Brown for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. The Senate voted 81-18 Tuesday to end the filibuster against Owen. Abortion advocates strongly oppose her nomination because of her numerous decisions against allowing teenagers in Texas to bypass the parental notification law there which requires abortion facilities to tell parents when their minor teenage daughters are considering an abortion. Pro-life groups such as the Christian Coalition backed Owen's nomination. "It is time to approve judges to the federal courts -- including to the Supreme Court -- who will not legislate from the bench," the group said. The organization noted Owen has received the highest qualification rating by the American Bar Association. All Republicans voted in favor of the Owen nomination with Rhode Island Sen. Lincoln Chafee voting against her and Democrats Byrd, of West Virginia, and Landrieu, of Louisiana, backing her nomination. Read the complete story.

Embryonic Stem Cell Research Debate Moves to the Senate
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Now that the House has approved a measure that would use taxpayer funds to pay for unproven embryonic stem cell research, attention turns to the Senate, where the vote will be much closer. Sponsors of the Senate version of the bill say they have 58 votes to approve the measure. That's more than the 50 needed to pass the bill, but possibly short of the 60 necessary to stop a filibuster by pro-life lawmakers. Pro-life Sen. Sam Brownback, a Kansas Republican and possible presidential contender, has confirmed he will filibuster the Castle/DeGette bill the House approved Monday. Adam Elggren, a spokesman for Sen. Orrin Hatch, a Utah Republican who is heading up the embryonic stem cell research bill in the Senate, tells UPI that, "We're positive that we have a majority in the Senate." "Senator Hatch is confident we've got close to 60, if not 60 already," he added. Hatch's bill has 32 co-sponsors, a lower percentage of co-sponsors than the House bill achieved. And an aide to a Republican leader in the Senate told UPI that "Republican leadership "is not eager to move on this." As a result, Hatch may try to attach the embryonic research funding bill to another measure or strike a deal with Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist to bring it up. "No decisions have been made when this bill would come to the floor," Frist spokesman Nick Smith indicated. Read the complete story.

Pro-Life Groups Respond to Embryonic Stem Cell Research Vote
ashington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Pro-life groups responded to Tuesday's House vote in favor of legislation to use taxpayer funds for embryonic stem cell research with disappointment. They thanked President Bush for promising to veto the bill and vowed to lobby the Senate to vote against it. "Embryonic stem-cell research has been unconscionably hyped, by scientists, politicians and advocacy groups shamelessly manipulating patients and their families into believing their only hope lies in cannibalizing the young," said Wendy Wright of Concerned Women for America. Wright noted the vote came the same day as families of children adopted when they were frozen embryos pleaded with Congress and stood with the President not to use tax dollars to kill innocent human life. "Under this bill, human embryos would be killed by the very act of harvesting their stem cells for government-funded research," National Right to Life legislative director Douglas Johnson explained. Meanwhile, Senator Sam Brownback, a Kansas Republican and a leading pro-life lawmaker, said he would do everything possible to stop the advance of the bill in the Senate. "I have conveyed to Senate leadership that we must do everything we can procedurally to stop unethical embryonic stem cell research in the Senate and I will work to do just that," he said. "We don't need destructive research when efficacious and ethical alternatives exist. In fact, after 20 years of work in mice, human embryonic stem cell research has not resulted in a single human application, and results in mice are, at best, very modest," Brownback explained. Mitt Romney Hints at Change on Abortion Views for Possible 2008 Run
Boston, MA (LifeNews.com) -- Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is considering a possible candidacy for the presidency in 2008. However, one obstacle stands in his way of capturing the Republican nomination -- his stance in favor of abortion. But, Romney says that could be changing. In an interview with USA Today, Romney said he "is in a different place" on abortion now than when he ran for the U.S. Senate in 1994 and indicated he supported legal abortion. ''Understand, over time one's perspective changes somewhat," Romney told USA Today. ''I'm in a different place than I was probably in 1994, when I ran against Ted Kennedy, in my own views on that." Romney would not elaborate on whether he has come full circle to adopt a pro-life position on abortion. Yet, the governor, an anomaly in a state mostly controlled by Democrats, has won praise from the pro-life community for his strong stance against embryonic stem cell research. Though the state legislature is ramming through legislation that would promote embryonic stem cell research, Romney has been forceful and active in his opposition to it and pledged to veto the bill. However, Romney's "personally opposed" position has never won lawmakers support form pro-life groups. They say a candidate is not pro-life unless he supports changing laws to put those beliefs into policy. Carol Tobias of the National Right to Life Committee told the Boston Herald at the time, "John Kerry said that he was personally opposed to abortion but wouldn't do anything to stop it. Mitt Romney's position doesn't seem any different.'' Read the complete story.

Senate Democrat Leader Misstates Embryonic Stem Cell Research Promise
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The top Senate Democrat on Wednesday urged a quick vote on a bill the House approved Tuesday that would use taxpayer funds to pay for unproven embryonic stem cell research. However, scientists are taking him to task for claiming the research will help patients with Alzheimer's disease. Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid asked for quick vote on the bill and said President Bush was "wrong politically, morally and scientifically'' for opposing the measure. Reid claimed the bill would help Americans deal with the debilitating Alzheimer's disease. However, leading Alzheimer's researchers say the destructive research is nowhere close to helping patients. Because Alzheimer's is not a disease involving one type of cell, one scientist says the use of embryonic stem cells is unlikely to have much effect. "Alzheimer's is a more global disease, with an effect on numerous kinds of cells," Steve Stice, a stem cell researcher at the University of Georgia, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper. "That makes it much more difficult for a cell therapy to be effective." Other researchers agree that potential cures, if they come about, won't happen soon. "I just think everybody feels there are higher priorities for seeking effective treatments for Alzheimer's disease and for identifying preventive strategies," Marilyn Albert, a Johns Hopkins University researcher who chairs the Medical and Scientific Advisory Council of the Alzheimer's Association, says. Michigan House Approves Ultrasound Before Abortion Bill
Lansing, MI (LifeNews.com) -- Members of the Michigan state House overwhelmingly approved legislation that would require abortion businesses to allow women considering an abortion to first see an ultrasound of their unborn child before performing one. The House approved the measure on a 69-37 vote and it now heads to the state Senate for consideration. State Representative Dave Robertson, the lead sponsor, said his bill allows women to get fetal development information they might otherwise not receive. He also hopes the ultrasound will help women rethink their abortion decision. "It would be very informative to the woman and she should be given that opportunity," Robertson said, according to an Associated Press report. "I hope it will save women from the emotional agony of knowing they have aborted their baby." A spokesman for the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan said his group opposed the measure, House Bill 4446, and could possibly file a legal challenge if it becomes law. Vermont Bill Would Allow Morning After Pill Over the Counter
Montpelier, VT (LifeNews.com) -- The Vermont state legislature is considering a bill that would add the state to list of those which allow sales of the morning after pill over the counter and without a doctor's visit. Six other states have made the change, which the FDA is considering nationwide. A House committee Tuesday approved a bill that would let customers purchase the Plan B drug, which can sometimes cause an abortion, directly from pharmacists. Members of the House Human Services Committee voted in favor of the measure 8-2. The bill now heads to the House floor, where it is expected to be approved. Rep. Katherine Niquette, a Republican, voted against the bill after talking with her 16 year-old daughter, who told her that teenagers would likely get the drugs without telling their parents. Though the House is set to vote for the bill soon, the Senate may not have time to bring it up before the legislature adjourns next month. That would kill the bill for now, but House lawmakers say they hope the Democrat-controlled Senate will review it quickly in 2006. Gov. James Douglas has said he would sign the measure into law. Alaska Web Site on Abortion Gets Doctors' OK, May be Imbalance
Juneau, AK (LifeNews.com) -- A five-doctor panel has ruled that Alaska's abortion website is objective and medically accurate. But, some question whether the panel itself was fair and balanced. The decision comes a year after lawmakers mandated the website in order to provide women seeking abortions with information about abortion's risks and consequences. The law was supposed to take effect last November, but the first meeting of the physician's panel did not take place until January. The website's $20,000 budget has been spent largely on staff, transcription, copying, mailing, and the cost of a nurse-midwife who has been leading the physician meetings. The panel consists of two abortion practitioners, one doctor recruited by Alaska Right to Life, and two other physicians who are considered ideologically in between the pro-abortion and pro-life positions. Therefore, some critics question whether the panel was really ideologically balanced. At a public hearing in April, the panel heard from people who wanted the website to better reflect the strong emotions many women feel after having abortions. Read the complete story.

*** Stem cells on Beacon Hill, Capitol Hill ***

The Statehouse switchboard can be reached at (617) 722-2000

If the president does in fact veto the bill, it would be the first veto of his administration

“The bill would take us across a critical ethical line by creating new incentives for the ongoing destruction of emerging human life,” Bush said. “Crossing this line would be a great mistake.”

*** Upcoming Event: Abstinence Hike and Festival ***

Making the choice to wait to have sex is one of the most important things a teen can do

Hiking on June 4th will not only strengthen your own commitment to abstinence but also will help more teens hear about and be supported in making healthy relationship choices, and provide young moms with support and services to help them through their pregnancies and into parenthood

Join us for the Doin’ it Right 3 Miles for Abstinence Hike on June 4th at the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, MA! Christian recording artists, The Cross Movement, PAX 2-17 and New Breed will provide entertainment.

*** Compromise reached in Senate on judges ***

All of the abandoned candidates are outstanding nominees who deserve the same up-or-down vote by the whole Senate but still face an unprecedented judicial filibuster!
.

*** Number 5 - Texas ***

(The Nebraska ruling is being appealed, and has a good chance !
of being overruled.) For this reason, Massachusetts Family Institute supports both state and federal constitutional bans on same-sex marriage

*** Montgomery School Board drops sex ed curriculum ***

Liberty Councel represents Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) and Citizens for a Responsible Curriculum (CRC) in the lawsuit against the school district

*** Boys from Christian schools less permissive ***

*** Encouragement of the Week ***

“The children here today remind us that there is no such thing as a spare embryo. Every embryo is unique and genetically complete, like every other human being. And each of us started out our life this way. These lives are not raw material to be exploited, but gifts.” ~ President George W. Bush, speaking yesterday an event with families who either adopted or gave up for adoption frozen embryos that remained after fertility treatments
