I believe that love will find a way.

The politics of hate and fear will one day fade into the dark recesses of history. Someday.

"To those of us who doubt President Bush won the election in the United States, the key differences between here and Ukraine are the methods of fraud and the passivity of the news media.

Here the party in power used unverifiable computerized voting to boost its totals and intimidation and misinformation to suppress the vote totals of its opponents, but the news media haven't investigated it. "

He needs to commit a crime first anyway
Which would mean proof of his willful involvement in voter fraud. I have a feeling that Rove would take the hit if fraud is ever proven. Even if a direct link to Bush is shown, it's doubtful they'll impeach him. It would take a scandal that would cause public outcry: a clear Bush link to 9/11 or an affair with an intern.

5. It's not just a feel good message
It is the new meme. And it is the new meme because it is the TRUTH.

I trusted John Kerry enough to vote for him. I still trust him, more than anyone else, to uncover clandestine injustice (think BCCI, folks). And upon his inauguration, he will do the same kind of job on the terrorists. Just like Bush, they will never know what hit them.

I know that he will do everything within his power to try to win this election. I don't need news reports to tell me he is working on the issue. If I learned nothing else from this election, I learned that John Kerry is a man of character and I have complete faith in him.

I trusted John Kerry enough to vote for him and I'm not about to give up on him. Character not only inspires faith, it also inspires ingenuity. I believe those working on this issue will discover a way to reveal the truth.

I believe John F. Kerry will be inaugurated on January 20, 2005.

213. Yes. John Kerry happens to be my President-elect, so

I will not reverse my opinion of his character based on two weeks'worth of apparent silence. He spoke out strongly in Congress today against the $800M debt limit.

I am going to hold on to my hope, wishes and faith with all my heart, soul and mind.

I believe in John Kerry and John Edwards
I believe in Bev Harris and BBV
I believe Votergate will be covered by the MSM
I believe that many programmers will come forward to blow the whistle
I believe that election workers will confess
I believe that this administration will fail, and at the least Mr. Bush and his cronies will be indicted or impeached.

I am keeping the faith...

563. Kerry Keeps His Campaign Promises
Right on, Doohickie!

It's really easy to lose faith when the chips are down and we receive next to no news from the top Dems. Nevertheless, in his post-election streaming video he promised that every vote would be counted and I take him at his word. The Righties love to say that they take Dubya at his word all the time, even though he's a pathological liar. Kerry means what he says and does what he means. He IS involved in Ohio and I maintain that he has been quiet in order to avoid Gore's mistakes of 2000.

Have I been down in the dumps since 11/3? At times, sure! However, NOT ONCE have I lost faith that Kerry's concession was anything other than strategic. We haven't seen the last of 2004 nominee Kerry!

53.  You are confused
"I am not a right wing zealot nor a left wing zealot. Pretty middle of the road - Liberterian may fit best. I did vote for bush, much to my chagrin, but felt it needed to be done."

Those statements don't mean anything and are based in false premises. It sounds more like something someone would make up to say when they don't have any potltical comvictions at all so thet don't feel embarrassed when someone asks them "what they are."

No one but a "right wing zealot" could vote for Bush, unless they were deadfully ignorant. And, one doe not need to be a left wing zealot to say that.

The idea that "it needed to be done" when connected with voting for Bush is pretty frightening. Why would it need to be done?

If we never hear from Kerry's presidential campaign again and the relults stand, I have faith that he will nevertheless have done all he could to ensure a correct result. If that turns out to be the case, the early concession was the right thing to do.

Thanks for your concern, but I'm not smoking anything.

My belief is founded on my faith in the character of our next president, John Kerry.

Peace to you. I appreciate your skepticism, and I don't blame you one bit. But remember this thread and others like it when Kerry takes the oath of office in January.

18. Think of it this way:
Kerry will not tell a soul. He will not tell the media, he will not tell George Bush. He will wait until he has every detail straight. Then he, Edwards and other prominent Dems will sneak into the White House, hide behind the sofa, and when W walks in, they'll all jump up and yell,

SURPRISE!

"I am not going to give up hope"

I hope for the sake of my children that I'm right, but I completely agree with you.

This is probably meaningless to some here, but I'm a life-long Red Sox fan who's team was down 0-3 to someone that we hardly ever beat in the post-season- the Yankees. I was pissed, I was hurt, but I still believed. And as we got ready to play game 4, I turned to my husband and said, "Am I crazy that I still think we can win this thing?". To which he said, "Yes."

4 games later and the Red Sox did what what no team has ever done in all of baseball, they beat the Yankees and became the only team outside a hockey to win the series. 4 more games later and the team did what they hadn't done in 86 years, win a World Series.

I had a good feeling down 0-3 and I have a good feeling being down 3 million. I still believe, and I hope that, as a fellow Red Sox fan, John Kerry does too...

Even the crazy people are right sometimes.

116. I forgot about that
Get this blue in the face - I haven't watched baseball since the Tigers won in '84, and hardly ever watch anything on TV. For some reason I tuned into the midle of game 4. I told my gf - watch this, history is going to be made here - and told her about the curse of the bambino, the unlikelihood of coming back from 0-3 and the whole story. Of course, it was impossible, right? But I had a strange feeling about it.

I believe in the vast power of visualization too, with all my heart. Also, most of the world and at least 48% of the country wants Bush out... that is powerful energy. And good always wins over evil. (Not instantly... but eventually. And since he's already been in office for 4 years, it's time for the situation to correct itself.)

50. I believe too!
However, rats get desperate when backed into a corner and Karl Rove is the biggest rat of them all. He has to know that recounts in New Hampshire, Ohio and Florida will change the vote totals. Is he hoping to create an impression among Freepers that the election was stolen by Kerry or the "liberal" press in order to help Bush save face and save his own sorry political career?

There are very few ways he can stop the recount.Does he have plans to firebomb the sites where ballots are stored and blame it on al Qaeda? Even the ostrich press would ask questions about that one. Or maybe invade Iran? Wont stop the recountrs. If he tries to go to court to suppress the recounts, this in itself will be newsworthy.
The only way Rove can keep the vote from being counted is to substitute doctored paper ballots for the real ones, and that would be verrrrry risky (way too many people involved).

Logic tells me that Rove expected the election to be closer than it was. If exit polls had shown a close split then a Bush win would not have attracted any public notice. The fact that Kerry was gaining ground in Ohio is probably what prompted him to tell Blackwell to try to block exit polls in Ohio. When that didnt work he concocted the surreal theater event with the Bush clan and national TV election night. When that didnt work, he began trying to cover his tracks and give W. "plausible deniability."

Edited on Sat Nov-13-04 01:12 PM by BernieBear
I believe in an America where bloggers don't get visits from the FBI.
I believe in an America where we feed our hungry before we blow up other countries.
I believe in an America where every child can become whatever they can CONCEIVE and BELIEVE that they can be (our beliefs and NOTHING else create our ability to determine our reality)
I believe that we need to have fiscal discipline and our financial life in order
I believe we must LEAD the global community, not merge into it, not bully it, not isolate from it
I believe we must provide a nation that is exemplarary in every way
I believe in electing Presidents who put their faith in a Universal Intelligence and speak softly about it then a President who puts his faith in money and speaks loudly about God
I believe in a nation where we value and respect all, including those that have a different opinion
I believe in a Nation that despises Hitlerean phrases and policies like "Patriot Act", "Homeland Security", "Clean Air Bill"
I believe in John Kerry and John Edwards
I believe GWB is headed back to Crawford
I believe that in the end we all get our "just desserts" some will get pie and some will eat crow and others will just hang their head in eternal shame
I believe in integrity over all else
I believe in John Kerrry and John Edwards and will be clapping when they are inaugurated on January 20, 2005

73. Let's all believe
Edited on Sat Nov-13-04 02:12 PM by BernieBear
The idea of a "Liberal" is decidely negative at this point in time - bleeding heart liberal, tax and spend liberal, big government liberal - that is how the "other side" has framed us. I am not any of those things, I frankly don't know what a "liberal" is, maybe there is a definition somewhere. I just know that 'many' people don't want to 'be' a liberal and they see themselves as 'successful' and they are "Christians" (or have a belief in God) so they "are Republicans"

I live by my faith in a Universal intelligence I call God
I believe in national fiscal discipline
I believe in personal responsibility
I believe we are all one
I believe we are as strong as our weakest link
I believe in affordable health care for all
I believe Doctors need to be paid well (trust me they currently aren't, they work REALLY hard now for very LITTLE reimubursement, the drug companies and Insuranace companies are the one's making the money)
I believe in strengthening social security
I believe in flat tax starting around $40K and is a flat percent no matter how much you earn with no deductions (includes taxation at same rate on capital gains)
I believe in separation of church and state to the degree that the state has no right to impose a religion on me, but has no right to take away might right to worship
I believe our nation is a nation based in spirituality but not in "Christianity" as in a particular brand of belief structures, dogma and practice - all "Christians" do not believe the same
I believe in equal rights but not quotas
I believe in a system which rewards those that are successful
I believe in each person having the integrity that if they are successful they provide back to their community, their nation through charitable giving, community efforts, etc.
I believe that not all people have the skills to be successful and we must not just warehouse or give subsistance to those who are poor and disadvantaged, we must provide programs that motivate, encourage and TEACH them how to get from where they are to where they want to be
I believe in John Edwards' two America's but I believe John Edwards left out the bridge in between - our party (in my mind) should be the bridge. That's how I believe in personal responsibility and helping those who have less
I believe war should always be a last resort
I believe in a strong military but one you rarely use
I believe we should lead by example and not by firepower
I believe we should be globally engaged
I believe America should be the shining star upon the hill and we have the obligation to lead the way, but we can not lead by force or fear, instead we should lead by example
I believe we must end partisianship in politics as our current group of lawmakers are ALL (almost) CORRUPT
I believe that honesty must underly our national debate
I believe we should end campaigning as it's been done and instead every newspaper and every TV station should provide a forum whereby a standardized "issues" list is completed or discussed by each candidate. They are allowed to ask questions of one another's plan but not to make "misleading" statements. There would be no advertising of campaigns. It would all be issue based (as a nation we could decide how to include how to view the area of morals and ethics). Each candidate would also prepare a resume which would be given to all Americans. Every taxpayer in the country would pay in $25 per year into a fund which would provide $5 billion dollars which should cover the cost of the candidates preparing resumes, issues statements and cover media costs (provided by TV, newspapers at cost) THERE WOULD BE NO CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS ALLOWED BY ANYONE OR ANY COMPANY TO ANY POLITICIAN
I believe elections should be a national holiday and held on Friday
I believe winners should not be announced until a set day in the future so all votes can be counted.
Any "projection" by a news organization should be, by law, identified in large letters as (for example) ZOGBY EXIT POLL PROJECTION ESTIMATES, but it is not binding and no one "concedes" until the set period is up.

I believe John Kerry will be inaugurated on January 20, 2005
I believe I don't ever have to know the "how" of something, the universe is much better at figuring that out then I am, I just need to know the "what" and then do the next right thing and show up every day, it always works out.

Why don't we investigate the votes first before we decide for certain that we didn't get that landslide? According to Bev Harris' site, we now have investigations going in NH, OH, FL, NM, AZ, NV, and GA.

83. And here's how it can happen!
First, why I think something's up behind the scenes that we don't know about: There are all the obvious things that everyone has already talked about, the suspiciously early, easy, and gracious concession, the "silence of the Dems." Why aren't the party folks screaming about the obvious massive fraud, intimidation, and disenfranchisement? Because they know something more effective than screaming is going on.

In particular, why aren't our loud and sometimes loose cannons roaring? The intimidation and disenfranchisement were, as always, concentrated in poor and black areas, but Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are mum. Could you ever imagine that? Congresspeople whom you can always count on to make waves, such as Henry Waxman, Charles Rangel, Maxine Waters, and others are silent and not making waves. Do you think they know something we don't? You could argue that they're in shock, but not for two weeks, and I never knew of shock to keep those folks silent.

I hear no recriminations among the party wheels about how Kerry campaigned or such. Even less than during the campaign. Dems are too fractious a bunch for that to happen. After a loosing campaign, there are always recriminations. This is the dog that didn't bark.

Our thousands of lawyers wanted to file hundreds of lawsuits on election day, but Kerry said no. Kerry, the tenacious prosecutor. Kerry, who fought on in the Iowa caucuses. Kerry, who helped found VVAW. But now, a week later, he sends hundreds of lawyers back to Ohio, "to make sure every vote is counted" and "to ensure the legitimacy of the election." That doesn't make any sense at all. It's got to be a diversionary tactic, to lull the pukes into a false sense of security and distract attention from where the real thing's going to be.

Finally, they have to realize (don't they?) that going down without a fight in the face of such obvious and massive fraud would cripple the party for years or even decades. Forget 2006 and 2008. People who stood in line for six hours to vote won't do that again if they don't fight to count those votes. People who poured out energy, time, commitment, and money like never before won't do that again, if all their efforts go down the drain without even a fight. People who say they don't vote because it doesn't matter will be proven right. We won't be able to tell Nader voters that they're throwing away their vote, because Nader's votes were counted and ours weren't--we're the ones who threw away our vote, if they won't fight to count our votes. Surely they have to realize this.

So here's my theory (probably my tin foil hat theory, if I understand that expression correctly):

Max Cleland is a friend of Kerry's. Max Cleland was robbed of a Senate seat by BBV, and anybody who's paying attention knows it. Several other elections were all stolen in apparent dry runs for this one. Kerry and everyone else in the campaign had to know about that. But no one ever said a word during the campaign about it. Compare that to the massive attention to intimidation and disenfranchisement and the thousands of lawyers deployed to prevent it, and the somewhat inhibitory effect that had on some of the worst abuses. But as for BBV, the message was, "Welcome, Pukes. Come in and make yourselves comfortable. Have a cup of tea and be as brazenly audacious as you wish in your vote-stealing. You can go all-out with impunity. No one here will say a word. Not, that is, until we spring this nice little ambush that we have set for you."

Here in California, we just got a multi-million dollar settlement from Diebold over their illegal dealings with touch-screen systems. How? A Diebold technician turned whistleblower. Oh, and he gets a percentage of the settlement too. Does anyone seriously think that we didn't at least try to place some mole technicians in Diebold and also that no lone-ranger moles tried to get in and also that nobody in the company wants a share of the next whistleblower percentage?

I think the Kerry campaign probably had copies of this year's equivalents of rob-georgia.zip about as soon as they were in Diebold technicians' hands. By election day, they'd decompiled or reverse engineered whatever was in them (if it even took that much geek work) and knew exactly how many votes were being stolen where and how. When things turned weird on election day, it was exactly according to plan and exactly as expected.

So, you ask, why haven't they come out with it? What are they waiting for? Remember Kerry the prosecutor? He didn't make his name going after small-time one-off thugs. He drove the whole mob out of his county. There are bigger fish here than some Diebold programmers. There's even bigger game than a stolen presidential election.

With something like a rob-ohio.zip and rob-florida.zip file in hand as evidence and a couple friendly, honest FBI agents or local prosecutors, they could get wiretaps, email taps, FTP taps, and whatever else. With the Dems apparently slinking off into the silence to lick their wounds, the biggies might well be carelessly congratulating themselves on their splendid coup, on tapped lines. Imagine Diebold's CEO being thanked by, oh say, Karl. And one tap's results could lead to another, and then another. Oh my, where might it all lead? Maybe to the whole "Soprano family values" crowd.

But there's still other big game out there to be taken down. The downstream media (hey, they stopped being mainstream a long time ago, they're downstream now) never dealt seriously with BBV problems; they completely ignored all the evidence that BBV was a disaster in the making and had actually already been used to steal elections. They treated the Swift Boat Liars thing as a he said-she said thing that no one could possibly investigate or verify or know the truth, and they acted as though people who weren't there could know as well as people who were there what happened. The downstream puke media (DPM) were completely in the RNC's pocket and completely AWOL from any real journalism, and have been for years.

So, to take down the DPM by embarassing and humiliating them for their complete and utter failures also required waiting to let them do it to themselves. We had to wait while evidence mounted and they ignored it, while the blogosphere fulminated and they unanimously (except Olberman) declared it to be looney internet conspiracies, while they unanimously said all this smoke doesn't mean there's fire, why there really isn't even any smoke, my dears. Just be calm and trust us.

So, when do we see something? Well, it has to be before the electoral college votes. Practically, it has to be before results are certified, particularly if Senate races were stolen too, as seems likely. I'm thinking probably this coming week, because the following week is Thanksgiving and real news will die for most of the week, and the week after that is tight on deadlines for vote certifications. I'm also thinking either Monday or Friday: Monday so the DPM anchors have to wipe egg off their faces all week, or Friday to set up the Sunday morning talking heads shows. Of course, if the FBI or wiretaps are involved, it might all depend on whether new big fish are calling up to volunteer to go to the big house.

On the other hand, this might all be my wishful thinking fantasy, in which case refer back to the paragraph that begins, "Finally, they have to realize (don't they?)" and start applying for immigration to Canada.

Probably just wishful thinking, but the professionals and the actual patriots at the CIA have to be completely aghast at the purge of professional competence there. Huge numbers of liberals in the CIA! God, these people are completely out of touch with reality. They're stark raving mad. That's crazier than Joe McCarthy's Commies in the army.

Either it'll all break soon, or the Fourth Reich has already been declared.

I'm sure they just LOVE being called "liberals." :eyes: All so the base can go on believing it was the CIA who let down the WH rather than the other way around.

I hope it breaks soon, too. Very soon. Although, having the wingnuts going after the moderate repubs right now might open a few eyes. It could certainly make for a more cooperative gov't. under President Kerry if the moderates kept their distance from the extremists. You never know. ;)

There is a great chance that these ballots, which should favor Kerry by a wide margin, could be counted in a recount, and erase a lead that will likely shrink in a recount anyway.

This is FAR from over.

113. You don't have to believe it if you don't want to...
But there is a real chance that the recount will flip Ohio. Regardless of what Kerry said, there are at least 200,000+ uncounted ballots that almost certainly favor him. It depends on how many provisonal ballots are accepted, and how many of the spoiled ballots are valid. A recount will answer those questions, and possibly expose MASSIVE fraud.

I'm not saying it's very likely, but it could still happen.

Until that chance is gone, I REFUSE to move on.

114. I am like the other's I beleive it and........
Just because he conceded doesn't mean crap because if they come up with enough votes that can be counted that will change the result in Kerry's favor such as Ohio and Flordia you can beleive he will uncocede. Because that would then make him the winner not Bush so it is very much possible. And also just because he conceded doesn't mean he has quit fighting like so man people want us to beleive. This man is a fighter and always has been. He has never given up anything without a fight in his life. You don't have to beleive me do a little research on the man and his career go back as far as you want he has always fought like hell at anything he has went to do. Just because he isn't out in the spotlight letting everyone including the media and the repugs know his every move and exactly what he is doing doesn't mean he has just given up the fight. this man has never been a quitter and I don't think he is going to start being one now! Kerry is a very smart man that knows what he is doing and how to go about it to get the best results. He was a attorney himself. If this man can bring down BCCI he can sure as hell get to the bottom of what is going on with all this fraud. I trusted him enough to back him through his primaries and campaign and on top of all that vote for him I sure as hell wouldn't not trust hin now! And I will also say this even if something happens that the results of this election is not overturned you can bet Kerry wont stop still he gets to the bottom of all of this. And before all is said and done Bush and the repugs will wish they never heard the name Kerry! That is why If he was to run again I would do it all over again and vote for him again. Because Kerry would be a great president that takes pride in what he does, he is a true patriot, and he loves this country as much as anyone.

119. It's not merely wishful thinking....
...I am prepared to face the truth if there is no challenge. However, I honestly believe the campaign will not give up without determining whether there was any way to overturn Ohio or Florida.

However, if I were Kerry, one lesson learned from last election's debacle is that you don't want the media covering this as it goes along; it turns into a circus that is judged every night by those who watch the media. Gore couldn't produce convincing evidence right away, so the courts ruled against what he had. Kerry will not present his case until (unless?) he can produce convincing evidence that will stand up in court.

He also will not be the one who goes to court; he will present his findings (if they help the campaign) and leave it up to the other side to drag it into court or not (thus, the statement that this would be decided by the voters, not the courts- that was a dare to the Bush campaign).

170. the real question
What is it that is over? I don't spend any time on imagining Kerry in the WH, although I wouldn't rule it out. However, the idea that this is over seems hightly overly-optimistic to me. If the election theft is not stopped, things don't just bounce back magically to the way they were before the election. They stole this election for a reason - to steal the government, and they stole the government for a reason - they plan to use it for a very radical agenda, and that radical agenda will make everyone wish they had fought harder on the election theft.

People can run and hide from confronting this, but the next things they do will not be so easy to escape.

If they get away with stealing this election, things are far, far from over, they are just beginning. I think it is self-delusion to think that we can walk away from this and try again in 2008. This may be the last easy place to stop them. The election theft is just one step in a long series of steps, and it is the step they are most vulnerable on. It will now get worse, and it will be harder to stop them, and it won't go away.

How people think we can vote them out in 2008 and we couldn't this time is just beyond me. It will be much, much harder to stop them then.

If people are anxious for this phase to be over, and are ready to happily move on, then they haven't taken a very good look at this adminstration's grand strategy.

But I know it is important for us not to get disappointed if the timing isn't what we expect. The important thing is to KEEP PUSHING. Keep telling the truth and not standing for the lies.

117. As to what will happen to the pundits and reporters who lied
I don't know how many of them did lie or how many simply refuse to believe/report the truth, but I doubt they'll be charged with anything. I think their punishment will come in the form of lost viewer/readership. This is where the public will come to realize they don't need the MSM as they once did. They have access to real info. on-line.

When this news truly comes out, those who already have an inkling of what is going on will be able to fill in those who don't and that will lead to discussions of how the news was reported in the first place -- and, more, importantly, WHEN it was reported. People don't like being kept in the dark and there will be a backlash against the MSM by those with on-line access. That's an awful lot of people these days. I think that's part of the reason for the arrogant mockery we see on television against "bloggers with conspiracy theories." The media fears us and refuses to admit that they are dispensable. But they are.

131. Just visualize the positive
Imagine Kerry at the podium, after it has been proven that he really did win Ohio, Florida, New Mexico, and who knows how many other states, and he says 'They said I was a flip-flopper, and you know just this once they may be right, I said I conceded, but I changed my mind.' Then visualize him at his inauguration party with the Dixie Chicks singing 'Landslide' right beside him on the stage. Sorry, I just can't let go of those images, because it's really what was supposed to happen. I believe it will.

I'm a new member so I don't know how to post a smiley guy yet.

President Kerry.
He really is a closer.

138. This is my first post...
I still believe that Kerry will be inaugurated in January.

Bush cheated. That much is obvious. Ask people at random, online or in real life, who they voted for. 9 times out of 10, it's Kerry.

I don't understand how the majority of people you ask can claim they voted for Kerry, yet Bush wins both the popular vote and electoral vote?

That isn't even taking into account that Bush is the most hated man in modern history. The entire world hates him, and America showed more hatred for Bush over the span of his presidency than it has ever shown any president.

There were incredible movements in favor of getting rid of Bush... hundreds of organizations formed.

Just take a look at sorryeverybody.com. It's overwhelming.

I just don't get it.

It's not POSSIBLE that Bush won fairly.

139. Astrological Prediction
From the Reagan's handbook, LOL. Just for fun I looked up Kerry's birthday and ran his horoscope on MSN. Gets interesting mid-month.

It's kind of spooky, actually! Now we can add astrology to our tin foil hat theories.

<snip>
Travel could be an option on November 5, for business or pleasure. You could attend a major social or sporting event. Important opportunities may come through your contacts with others. Challenging energies emerge between November 6 and November 9, as Saturn turns retrograde in Cancer. This could involve issues related to finance, or to resources that you hold in common with others, especially family members. Resist the temptation to enter into agreements on behalf of others until this passes. The New Moon in Scorpio on November 12 could launch a period of introspection or planning that occurs backstage. You are unlikely to be taking unnecessary risks at this time, but may be in a "wait and see" kind of pattern about an important issue. You could be caught in a family drama or asked to mediate a dispute on November 19. When Mercury combines with Pluto in Sagittarius on November 21, you could have an announcement to make. The Full Moon occurs in Gemini on November 26. Partnership could be a little tricky. You could be called to account for something impulsive you have said or done. A communication issue could erupt on November 28. Silence, until the facts are in, may be your best response. When Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius on November 30, you may need to reconsider a plan.

141. People have brought up astrology before, and I've
always figured that if I were doing astrology, I would write November's entries bearing fully in mind what might happen with elections. In other words, I bet if you read Bush's, it seems earily accurate, too. I would wager that most astrologers lean left, so having something that looks earily optimistic for Kerry isn't too far out of bed, is it?

In other words, astrologers are not working in a vaccuum; they know what's going on in society, and it's a pretty good guess that people will first check their own horoscope, then that of their favorite candidate. Don't think it's a coincidence that Kerry's fits him so well; it was tailored to him.

I am having a so-so time of staying optimistic. Part of me says that someting good will come out of this, but the other half says it's over and Kerry like some Dems took us for granted again. I just saw Smirky and Condi together. He is nominating her as Sec. of State. Anyway, some of these others threads are depressing because people are bashing Kerry and talking about how we should have nominated someone else, and how ineffective and bad the campaign was ran. :-( If Kerry had won, we wouldn't be talking about all that stuff. I took you guys advice on visualizing winnning. I will keep hope alive though.

151. In fact, the deafening silence of top Dems and the media only
makes me more confident that the scenario is playing out the way we've discussed it here.

The mainstream media is definitely the downstream media at this point, and definitely best left out of the equation altogether. And what they're downstream from is best indicated by txindy's list of "news" they carried that turned out to be Repub cowflop. Don't drink the water! And we don't want the public drinking that water right now as the source of this story.

155. Please don't hate me...
I am one of those people who protested and fought against the Vietnam Police Action and for the right to vote for 18 year olds, so I am an old fart and I am new here also. I am very proud of the work and the fight that so many in here are willing to do to try and get the information out to the people about the horrendous vote fraud that has been perpetrated on the populace of this country. I know they did it back in 2000 but that was a trial for them, so to speak. They found out that the populace of this country will sit and do nothing as their freedoms and voting power are taken away from them. They did even more fraud in 2002. And 2004 was the last nail in the coffin. The people are not willing to protest enough to get the information out to others who don't know about this. Please understand that the majority of the population in this country gets all of their so called news from the television, so if it isn't there for them to see, whether a lie or the truth, then they have no idea. Hell, our own President has stated that he does not read the newspapers, so you all must realize that the general population surely doesn't.

My goodness, I have seen the dumbing down of our country right before my very eyes. The average college entrant knows far less than college entrants of 50 years ago. I am sorry if this bothers any of you but facts are facts. The average person out there- does very little reading and believes anything and everything that is handed to them by the news media. This goes for people of all political persuasions. The average people out there are happy as long as they have jobs and food in their bellies. This is the same as 1930s Germany people. We are in big trouble and I don't like the future that is there for us. These type of "elections" are all there will be in the future and most people will sit around and believe when the news media tells them that only mentally unstable people would believe that there was any fraud. You must have noticed how the Republicans has set up everything to make it almost impossible for us to get anyone to even listen to what we have to say. They have taken over the media over the last 12-20 years and they run most of the media anymore. I love Keith on MSNBC but he is only one person who has shown to have guts to go against the others out there. Have all of you listened to Hardball? He calls us all nut jobs. Even Democrats sound just like the damn Republicans anymore and that is what scares me.

I am ever so grateful to the Greens for doing the vote count in Ohio. I will never vote for a Democrat or a Republican anymore, if I ever vote again. The fact that the Democrats weren't even willing to have a recount shows that they also do not care about this country or the people in it. I am sorry to say people that it will probably take nothing less than a overall revolution to try and regain our wonderful country. We no longer have a Constitution that anyone cares for, as evidenced by the idiots who wish to have an amendment to allow foreign born naturalized citizens to run for President or the idiotic amendment about marriage being between a man and a woman. Even Clinton did not believe in states' rights and it is only getting worse anymore and will continue on until it is stopped dead in the tracks.

I am sorry to have made this so long but I am so upset seeing my country stolen out from under my very own eyes and I can't seem to do anything about it. Again, I apologize to all of you for my rant.

It's kind of ike when you in a big crowd and someone gets injured and no one knows who should take charge because there are so many standing around.

I won't do that again. I won't assume that someone else will make sure it is ok.i guess I am an activist now.

My problem now is that I am disabled and I am a moderate Democrats, which makes most Dems hate me. I am against ALL illegal aliens no matter what and I want the border shut down, both northern and southern borders. I have personally seen what illegals can and will do to the average citizen in this country.

This country is no different than 1930s Germany except for the modern ways. The people are no different and there will always be people, like all of us, that try to get the truth out so people will see what is going on right in front of them. I hate to say this but I believe that the Democrats are part of the problem. If they aren't, then why in the hell didn't Kerry demand re-counts?

You can't have 2 months of polls all showing Bush was going to win by 1 to 6 points and then everyone puts all of their eggs into flawed exit polling the day of. It just doesn't work that way.

If JFK was leading for 2 months and the results came out this way, then hell yes there would be rioting in the streets. But that's not what happened.

190. No doubt they would like to find a way
to get around S/Elections but I think they will stick to traditional voter intimidation and spin. We just have to be smarter, package our message better and connect with mid america voters more than we have in the past. We ARE smarter and more compassionate than the repukes. We have that advantage going in. We just have to make sure people realize that this time.

216. I'm holding out hope UNTIL Jan. 20 too...
...and maybe slightly beyond. Okay I'm an optimist, but things didn't really start to "happen" until about November 11 (only a week ago!!) The first week after the election, we were all still reeling, and regrouping our energies. In the last week however, a lot of recounts are going on, or are being requested. Nader, the Green Party, and People for the American Way, etc. have all joined on. BBV had a stellar week with that discovery of "trashed" tapes in Florida, 81% of provisional ballots in Ohio have been okayed, and even while we're not YET getting the TV coverage we deserve, we DO have Keith and Countdown, and a lot of on-line and AP news stories flowing.

AND most importantly...Kerry gave a local TV interview two days ago (on the Boston channel), in which...when asked about 2008 and about his loss in this election, Kerry ABRUPTLY replied, 'Listen, they're still counting votes.' He also said the he WASN'T 'closing any doors' OR 'opening any' YET.

While that may have been exactly the kind of vague Kerry comment which drove others crazy during the campaign, it 'spoke' to me as the Kerry I supported and believed in before the election, and continue to do so now. Besides, we also now know he still has considerable 'campaign money' left...which I assume would be convenient in any Voter Fraud litigation.

No, I'm NOT losing faith yet! Not by a long-shot! Though let's all visualize more Network coverage SOOOON!

I need to start coming to the more positive post and stay away from the negitve. It is nice to see alot more people besides myself have faith in this man! Seems like a constent battle around here. Some people are so quick to give up, pass judgment, make nasty remarks and call the man names. But I will always stand up and fight for Kerry because this man is a honest, good hearted man that loves this country as much as anyone. He has always fought for the poor and middle class in this country because he beleive's all Americans should be able to live the American dream not just the rich and privaledged. For this I respect him and will fight for him all the way!

197. I've posted this everywhere and NO ONE has yet explained how Kerry can win
How Kerry will be inaugurated on Jan. 20?

Florida has already certified. That state is done. Kerry's only "chance" is Ohio. But how will Kerry make up the 133,000 vote deficit in Ohio?

Here are the facts:

1. Provisional ballots - There are 155,000 prov. ballots. We're already reading reports that 10%-40% of these ballots are being thrown out, depending on the county. You have to assume at least 20% of these will be thrown out, taking that 155,000 down to 125,000. And these ballots are spread pretty evenly throughout the state (meaning, the prov. ballots are roughly equal to 1%-2% of the total vote per county).

2. Spoiled ballots - There are 92,000 "spoiled" ballots, meaning there is no clear vote for President. These are the infamous punch-card ballots. These will be counted only during the recount, which will happen AFTER the vote is certified by Ohio on Dec. 6. Contrary to Florida, Ohio has very strict standards for what counts as a vote with these ballots. The "chad" must be separated (perforated?)in 2 places for it to count. 1 chad or "dimples" will not count. Based on these rules, you have to assume at least 10% of these will be thrown out, taking that 92,000 down to 83,000.

125,000 + 83,000 = 208,000
Bush margin = 133,000 (136,000 minus the 3,000 mistake votes he got in that one county)

By my math, Kerry needs to take 82.2% of these prov. and spoiled ballots to win (171,000 to 37,000 = 134,000 plus for Kerry), assuming even the recount is finished before Dec. 13.

How in the hell is Kerry gonna take 82% of these, when these votes are spread throughout the state, a state that basically went 50-50?

206. My opinion: Kerry can win if fraud is proven

If fraud becomes evident through the NH or OH recount process (e.g. recounted paper ballots do not agree with the tabulated total), or if a whistleblower steps forward, then the entire national election is effectively tainted.

What happens then is anybody's guess, but there might be further investigations, more recounts, or even a revote.

What's needed more than anything else is for this to become a huge scandal, one that the media and the general public cannot ignore.

Yes, I know that this is an unlikely scenario.

If a recount in OH shows that there were enough 'miscounted' ballots to pass B*sh, John Kerry wins OH and the presidency. Then he has four years to prove the case for fraud.

There is SO much fraud out there that I just can't hold out hope that it will ever all be uncovered.

This has been a roller-coaster. Yes, Ohio will flip for Kerry. But then I realize that the "obstructionists" would never allow that to happen. They are like a plague taking over the country.

I sit here and read this day after day...my husband has started calling me "Conspiracy Mother"...hoping, beyond hope, that we can somehow manage to take our country back...star trying to repair it for our children.

Can it happen?

Edited on Thu Nov-18-04 09:49 PM by Doohickie
Here is how I deal with it. I have already accepted the probability of another Bush presidency. It's likely.

Then, I remember the candidate I voted for. I remember the words at the end of his concession: Someone in the audience said, "Senator Kerry- I've got your back." Kerry replied, "and I've got yours. You'll see" or something to that effect.

At this point, I have no idea if Ohio or Florida will turn. But despite the disappointment of others and the quiet media, I am convinced that Kerry is working very quietly to win this election... still.

The John Kerry I voted for has too much class to drag the country through another circus like 2000. He doesn't need the spotlight; he just wants results. He may not know if he has anything, and if nothing ever comes up a quick concession was the right thing for the country. I would not expect him to say another thing about the election. Unless..... he can build an airtight case that no Bushista can argue with; a case so compelling there is no denying it.

Don't worry about whether it will happen or not. Just know that John Kerry has reported for duty, a duty he takes very seriously. I am convinced he is still working to become president this January.

I hope that gives you some confidence. It seems like a long shot, but out of all the potential tickets that could have been in this situation, Kerry, the prosecutor, the guy who busted BCCI, and Edwards, the trial lawyer, are the very two best men that could bring this home.

If they do, it will make a great movie. Sometimes life is the best movie.

Do not adjust your set.

I BELIEVE!

224. Just remember, Watergate was only a burglary , a blip for Nixon until
everyone looked further and the evidence piled up. All of us who were teens then HATED Nixon and knew that Vietnam was WRONG- we prayed that the NIXON THUGS would be revealed for the evil they represented. Imagine how we felt when fellow college students were MURDERED by National Guard troops at Kent State!

We despaired.. just like a lot of you are despairing now. Our hearts were so heavy, IT IS SO SIMILAR TO WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH BUSH NOW.

But, have faith - - the TRUTH is on our side and the evidence is piling up. It might not happen in time for the "Inauguration" but, it will happen - I BELIEVE!

253. well
obviously there are somehow now only 50,000 votes between him and Bush, according to what he said in this interview: http://www.trenzhost.com/files/sydney/John%20Kerry%20Sp...

Not sure if you've seen that yet or not. And i agree with you 100%, because I BELIEVE!!!!

Also, if anyone ever gets bored enough it would be cool to count up how many members of the board have replied to this thread positively.

259. I also went back and looked at his Concession Speech again...
I had the volume turned down, and for the first time, was watching ONLY the non-verbal. In it, I was surprised to see Kerry LOOKED like the 'winner' there too. Look at him standing there waiting as Edwards introduced him. He KNOWS he's winner. Fate is just making him (as us) prove it.

I feel powerless and so uncertain about the future. I fear they are deliberately leading us to depression.

So i will be going through it and editing out signatures, unnecessary images/links, and any of the bs or 'get over it' posts. i don't unerstand though, what we can actually do with it - someone mentioned getting these threads on the front page....but what do you mean? on the front of the site's main page? And by editing - do you mean editing the thread itself as is on the board, or editing on some other program, and then submitting the edited thread?

I'm confused....i know i'm taking too far but oh well! i believe dammit!

294. FLASH BULLETIN! Blogger calls march on Fox NOW!

Combined protest against Fox and the rigged election

The objective is specifically to challenge the wall of silence on the rigged election by news outlets like Fox and make a breakthrough

Please spread this around, check it out and kick it

A blogger has posted an extremely detailed, specific call to protest the rigged election AND the suppression of the truth ABOUT the rigged election by Fox News a combined event mass march protest to be held in New York City AT Fox headquarters on 6th Avenue

Main protest chant

Rupert Murdoch, tell the truth! Fascists rigged the voting booth!

Nobody thinks of marching against a news organization in the streets. This is going to be a shot heard round the world.

Very comprehensive protest plan with very helpful travel details, the works

See blog on this,

A Call To March On Fox

For refusing to tell the truth about the rigged election!

http://acalltomarchonfox.blogspot.com /

Discussion thread in General Discussion Forum please help keep this kicked

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

A Call To March Against The Rigged Election

Please spread these links around to help us organize this.

Please join that discussion there and help keep it kicked. Marching on Fox starts at post 117. But read the whole discussion. And read the blog. Discussion also discusses an earlier blog on marching against the rigged election and media. Second blog being discussed is on a specific, detailed call to march on Fox specifically as a key initial part of this protest against the rigged election. Fox is a key ENABLER of the rigged election. Theyd never get away with election rigging on such a vast scale if it werent for news suppressers/distorters like Fox. Read both blogs.

Tremendously detailed comprehensive blog

It gives the exact location in New York City of all of Rupert Murdochs empire, New York Post, Fox News, News Corporation (Murdochs big parent company it owns almost everything else hes got) all of that its all in a single building on 6th Avenue between 47th Street and 48th Street in mid-Manhattan. Murdochs own office is in the building too. We can be chanting against him right outside his window. All their offices are not on very high floors either as low as the second floor theyll see and hear us and have to pass us on the way in. All those blow-hard Fox talking heads lying about the election well be in direct shouting matches with them as they come and go. And Fox itself is on the SECOND Floor. How good is their studio soundproofing in there????? Everybody at Fox is going to be bitching that they cant get any work done. Theres no way they can hush this up.

Since its a vicious circle news organizations like Fox suppress our protests, making them seem futile, therefore the proposal is to combine objectives and protest Fox AND the rigged election TOGETHER right outside Murdochs building and tie the two evils together Murdoch suppresses the truth about the rigged election! and invite other New York news organizations, many of whom DETEST Murdoch, to cover it. (You didnt know New York news people and news executives hate Murdoch? Blog goes into that a lot.)

Blog has many links to anti-Murdoch resources and video of Bill OReilly telling everybody to shut up, shut up, shut up, over and over. What a sewer rat! Right on camera! He looks really mean and drunk in one of the film clips. Jack Daniels? And hes on camera hotly lecturing us, It is our duty as all loyal Americans to shut up. The video nails him good and Fox. Blog gives other video links too.

Tired of being told to shut your trap? Open it. March against Fox and the rigged election in New York City.

But the idea is to put it all together, to protest and denounce Fox outside their offices for leading the COVER-UP of the election heist. Its a shot across the bow to the rest of the media that they better start telling the truth about the election, or theyll get protests like the one at Fox. All the national news media are based in Manhattan. They cant say this protest was too out of the way to get to.

Blog also has links to downloadable anti-Fox flyers, petitions and other resources against Fox that could be distributed at the protest march.

Blog goes into tremendous detail about the strategy, the advantages of starting protests in New York as opposed to other cities (huge liberal population would augment people coming from out of town), and its the news media capital of the world. Very friendly terrain. New York Democratic congressmen are demanding investigation of the stolen election. No rednecks in the population or the government, no paranoid security apparatus like you have in D.C.

Blog includes complete mother lode total orientation guide to using New York subways with downloadable maps you can enlarge, how to use mass transit to get from Amtraks Penn Station to the march, how to use mass transit to get from the airports to the march.

Lets make it happen!

Keep kicking that thread so everyone will hear of this!

what makes you think that with Congress, the media and the Supreme Court on their side, Bush will let the Presidency for ANY reason whatsoever?

There was fraud in 2000, there was fraud on 9/11, there was fraud in the process that took us to war in Iraq. Bush was corrupt enough to resist all these and the same will hold truth for 2004.

301. And I believe it even more after the Kerry daughters' CNN Interview!
The 'timing' of the Kerry daughters' interview on CNN last night was 'encouraging'...as it immediately followed JK's video on Friday, and the Dem's involvement and endorsement of Ohio recount yesterday. For those who missed it, Alexandra Kerry reinforced on Larry King last night the fact 'that votes are still being counted.'

That, plus Keith O's coverage of the Election Fraud yesterday, definitely should continue to boost our hopes.

I definitely believe in President Kerry too! :)

if Kerry doesn't come out NOW and start contesting and investigating the election, i give up. there are SO many people around here who are aleady saying that they will do what it takes to make sure that he doesn't run again in 2008. If he ever wanted to be President, now is his time and i don't think he is going to have another chance. after reading what Bev Harris said in the thread in Voting Issues forum, his lawyers said that BBV are 'probably just trying to stir up some trouble'. Every effort in Ohio is being stalled. i'm not feeling too confident anymore. i don't know if i believe.

Doohickie, please come comfort me :(

318. Faye...
I am thinking the same thing. Man oh man how I want to believe. It's not that I don't, because I'd give practically anything to see Senator Kerry sworn in on January 20th. But after reading Bev Harris's piece and the judge in Ohio blocking the recount until it's certified in December, my faith is faltering.

I do believe that there is a lot going on behind the scenes that none of us are privy to. Why else would there be some 17,000 lawyers floating around? Why else would all the movers and shakers in the democratic party be so-o silent and placating the repugs? And I do think that the timing of Kerry's message last week, and the introduction of the children's health coverage bill had way more substance to it than we may see on its surface...but, even after all that's said and done....

Edited on Wed Nov-24-04 01:37 PM by Faye
literally. not beating around the bush. if he woudl just come out and say SOMETHING, do SOMETHING, contribute money SOMEWHERE, i would have faith restored and i think a lot more people would pay attention. the longer he goes without reaching out PUBLICLY the less anyone is going to care about him. i only say it because i care. i really think he is the only person who can get this to go anywhere that remotely leads to success.

and if he doesn't in the next few days, i think his chances are pretty much over. HE is the one who won this election, he is the one that needs to fight for it.

320. I think there are several "deadlines" as such.
But saying something in response to a deadline is totally ineffective unless he has something substantive to say.

I still have faith in the guy. When he speaks it will matter. He will not, however, speak just to hear the sound of his own voice; he will speak when he has conclusive evidence.

Great things are afoot.

there are 2 outs and out batter has just hit a high pop up and the shortstop is standing expectantly beneath it. There could still be a wind of fortune which knocks him over and allows the ball to fall to the ground safely but if this is going to happen now there is a long long way to go, and if it does happen it will additionally be probably the most incredible thing to happen in politics ever . A comeback of monumental proportions.

351. I am keeping hope alive...
but for some reason, I am starting to get pessimistic again that the Ohio Recount may or may not happen because they may need Kerry to get involved for it to be a reality. People are complaining the about the fact that he conceded the next day before ALL the votes were counted and that he didn't contest Florida, when there was widespread fraud, now he is getting slammed for it.

It's so unfortunate that Bush's incompetence has damaged this country so much and constantly gets a free pass for it. Then people turn and blame Kerry for not defeating the worst president ever. Doohickie, Faye, or any "postive" DU peeps, can you offer this rookie "DU" some help? Peace!

i go through these kind of days too. one day is up, one day is down. sometimes i have doubts, wondering if Kerry really cares that we are fighting for this. there isn't much we can do other than stay calm and keep the hope - the faith, that justice will be done and the PEOPLE will prevail. i do know this one thing about Kerry: he has faith in the people of America. I sometimes wonder if he left the majority of this to us because he knows we need to fight for our own rights and have our voices heard.

I want to move to a blue state or maybe to Austin where I am not surrounded by Bushies who won't listen to reason or fact...they are very scary. So I am all for a blue Texas. You know, there were many, many Kerry Edwards people here in the big city. In Oct. and Nov. the yard signs and bumper stickers were multiplying rapidly. I spoke with many of them. I was wearing several hats in during the season. It was so wonderful to talk with them. :D There were even Republicans turned Democrat thanks to *ush.

358. Ohio Election Officials obstructing process to run out time on recount
Richard Hayes Phillips, Ph.D.

As of election night there were 155,428 provisional ballots still to be counted in Ohio. The eagerly awaited Ohio recount cannot possibly begin until after the votes are counted for the first time.

It is now Friday, November 26, 2004. Twenty-four days have passed since the presidential election. There are 88 counties in Ohio. To my knowledge, only 13 have examined their provisional ballots, counted them, and posted the results on their websites. The 13
counties are: Ashland, Brown, Butler, Clinton, Geauga, Greene, Hancock, Montgomery, Pickaway, Preble, Tuscarawas, Union, and Warren.

Altogether, there were 23,873 provisional ballots issued in these 13 counties, or 15.36% of the
statewide total. At this rate, it would take five months to count them all. This strikes me as a
deliberate stalling tactic to delay the Ohio recount until after the electoral college meets in December.

Here are the unofficial results in the 13 counties, with the sum totals compared with those reported on election night, so as to compute the net gains:

ELECTION RESULTS AFTER COUNTING PROVISIONAL BALLOTS

County Bush Kerry Others Ballots Not Cast Counted

Ashland 16,171 8,555 234 25,739 779
Brown 12,647 7,140 105 20,281 389
Butler 109,866 56,234 696 168,976 2,180
Clinton 12,938 5,417 58 18,674 261
Geauga 29,974 19,588 205 51,286 1,519
Greene 48,377 30,530 361 80,602 1,334
Hancock 25,101 10,343 140 35,926 342
Montgomery 138,361 142,977 1,205 287,635 5,092
Pickaway 14,160 8,578 123 23,132 271
Preble 13,733 7,274 119 21,559 433
Tuscarawas 23,825 18,854 260 43,760 821
Union 15,869 6,665 96 22,911 281
Warren 68,035 26,043 337 95,512 1,097

Bush Kerry Others

Total 529,057 60.04% 348,198 39.51% 3,939 0.45%
Earlier 516,376 60.18% 337,902 39.38% 3,753 0.44%
Net Gain 12,681 54.75% 10,296 44.45% 186 0.80%

John F. Kerry is actually gaining on George W. Bush as the counting of provisional ballots proceeds. In counties that Kerry lost by 20.8% on election night, he is losing by only 10.3% among the provisional ballots counted. In the 75 counties yet to be heard from, Kerry actually held a lead on election night:

ELECTION NIGHT RESULTS

Bush Kerry Others

88 counties 2,796,147 2,659,664 25,993
13 counted 516,376 337,902 3,753
75 uncounted 2,279,771 2,321,762 22,240

There are 208,696 uncounted ballots in these 75 counties, including 131,555 provisional ballots, and 77,141 regular ballots, mostly punch cards, which will have to be examined by hand during the recount. For a county by county breakdown of the uncounted votes,
read JOHN KERRY CONCEDED TOO SOON at

http://web.northnet.org/minstrel/uncounted.htm

Half of these uncounted votes, 104,748 (50.19%) are in 9 counties, 8 of which were won by John Kerry.

http://web.northnet.org/minstrel/summary.htm

There are also 14,799 ballots still uncounted in the other 13 counties, according to the table above. No wonder Ohio Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell is trying to slow down the counting of provisional ballots, and trying to delay the recount until after he certifies the winner. There needs to be a firestorm of protest to cause him to recuse himself, or a restraining order issued by the courts.

go public, when it is the right time, you may be sure. He is one wily dewd, and no mistake.

The answer was apparent from his earliest seemingly wussie comments, if we'd had ears to hear. And some of his subsequent comments have been like a knife throguh the heart, but it could not be in a better cause. If you understand it, you will want to mantain a respectful silence too.

The fact is that the people who are doing all this work are performing the most primordial civic duty, proper to a democracy, true non-partisan patriots, - as only they can do.

404. a newbie thanks you
very inspiring
I`ve been watching and waiting and wishing.

Heres my take.

I believe Kerry and his lawyers have rock solid proof that bush stole the election.
When time comes to the recount the repugs will start their rebellion on the courts.
Thats when Kerry(out from the shadows) will take little geo by his ear to a secluded corner and inform him if the recount doesn`t go through,he will release everything he has. little geo is forced to duct tape his mouth and let the recount of Ohio continue.

The recount uncovers many missed votes "on machine glitch's" .
Kerry wins in the recount, gets the White House.

This will bury the bush election fraud story and little geo slinks off into the Crawford sunset.

United States redeems itself,no major fraud uncovered saving the US some credibility in the world.

please please please let it be

A guy in my church likes to be clever. He came up to me and asked whether I had called the cops after my car got vandalized. I looked at him for about 5 seconds, then realized he was talking about my K-E sticker. I looked him in the eye and said, "*I* put it there!"

That shut up his wise-cracking mouth.

420. I believe that in America anything is possible...
I believe in John Kerry and John Edwards and the millions of Americans that will stand with them to make history.

I believe that there will be a day when I, once again, can hold my head up high and say that "I am Proud to be an American"

I believe that one day we will have be able to offer our children hope for a better future than what we have.

I believe that Americans all around this nation will rise up in peaceful protest, in such an intensity that even the most devout "liberal media outlet" will not turn a deaf ear.

I believe that the * crime family and associates will be exposed, and we will have a global day of celebration.

My favorite part is the global day of celebration. My second favorite part is the restoration of my pride in America. I love the idea of making history with Kerry Edwards. Also, the intense peaceful protesting that causes the "liberal media" to speak on this issue is a terrific vision. Okay, well I like it all Seito. It's hard to rank them because they are all inspiring. O8)

455. Hi there, do people in Texas really love George?
Well, it's a toss-up. Many people don't think he is a real Texan. Apparently millions of Texans voted against him. Then again, millions voted for him. I think he sold a facade, a persona to most people. I live in a predominately GOP area BUT the Kerry Edwards yard signs and bumper stickers were multiplying like rabbits before the election. Everyday I wore KE buttons or anti-Bush t-shirts and people in public would say how much they liked them or where could they get them. I drove down the street with my no W sticker and my KE sticker and people would honk and wave. I saw lots of those no W stickers here. It's odd. I was at several polling places during early voting and tons of folks waved at me and/or told me that they voted KE. People from all walks of life. At the end of early voting, the last day, people waited 2-4 hours to vote...and we aren't a swing state. I was handing out bumper stickers and tons of folks stopped to visit with me and express their disgust for W. In the county where I live KE and W were neck and neck until election day. I think some good-ole-boys here (who BTW aren't good) padded the votes for W on account of his daddy. So, there you have it. As far as I can tell, many people here don't like him.

490. you've seen it in the stars
http://in.news.yahoo.com/041028/43/2hjh9.html

my father sent me this link, he doesn't believe in astrology and I don't either but he has previous experience with Indian fortune tellers and they are normally quite good.

the best part of the article is this " Kerry is likely to beat Bush in the final verdict," and this "The after effects of Kerry's win would be of immense good to the US. It will bring peace not only to the country but also to the rest of the world. The Middle East, Afghanistan and South Asia will see a terrorism-free, congenial atmosphere."

Let's hope he's right

492. I read that. It was a good article. I think it is still true.
It's written in the stars and even though it didn't happen the way we all expected it to. I believe it will happen. The article, as I recall, also warns that * faces health problems. Interesting. Sometimes life unfolds in mysterious ways.

495. I believe too! Thanks for the post! Gives new hope!
It's been so difficult remaining optimism lately, but the well-researched Astrology report you listed confirms what I've felt from the beginning...that it IS Kerry's destiny to be President. It's good to know that NOW is the Time! :bounce:

Fate, kismet, destiny...
it's in the stars.

Kerry was born to lead. I believe he will come out on top. :hi:
