Obama campaign materials

A colleague at work told me that he ordered some Obama t-shirts, buttons, and yard signs a few weeks ago. He said all he got in his order were the t-shirts.

We were wondering if this was a sign that they can't make the stuff fast enough to fill orders (my belief), or if it is a sign of disorganization (his fear)?

Does anyone else have any experience ordering stuff from Obama's campaign? How usual is this?

1. I got all of what I ordered but there were alot of items on backorder at the time.

The campaign purposely directed the business to U.S./Union companies and the demand has been so great that they just can't make enough. Checking the site, I noticed that some popular items appear to be back in stock (with some still on backorder). When I ordered at around the same time as your colleague (couple weeks ago), all of the "generic" buttons and bumper stickers were listed as being on "2 - 3 week" backorder, so they obviously shipped what they had and the rest should be in for your co-worker soon.

2. They can't make it fast enough

They've overwhelmed with a huge amount of orders. They send out what they have on
hand first. The rest will arrive later. Try Obamacycle.

3. I think it's typical

I had a problem in 2003 with getting Clark swag from Democrats.com. They run out really quickly and it takes forever to make new items. Maybe they make it in batches according to orders so they don't get hammered with leftover goods? I don't know, but yeah it is frustrating as hell to wait for things. MY first order last summer from Obama took about 6 weeks to fulfill. But everything arrived together.

6. I have yard signs, rally cards, shirts etc

i have tons of stuff including tshirts, buttons pins -- just send me an email at [email protected] and I can send ya whatever ya need at cost. Send me email with what ya want.

8. there's about a 2 week delay

but you will get the stuff and it's worth holding out for. Just order early for when you might need it

9. They're so backordered, they're partial shipping

I've gotten one order, with two items 3 weeks apart. I'm waiting on another order, 2 items, been waiting 2 weeks so far. It's not their fault.
