Sorry if it's a dupe but I love the smell of IMPEACHMENT in the morning!
"Quite frankly, evidence that appears to be building up points to whether or not the president has deliberately misled Congress to make the most important decision a president has to make, going to war," Rep. Charles Rangel of New York, senior Democrat on the House Ways and Means Committee, said earlier at the event on Capitol Hill.

Misleading Congress is an impeachable offense, a point that Rangel underscored by saying he's already been through two impeachments. He referred to the impeachment of President Clinton stemming from an affair with a White House intern and of President Nixon for Watergate, even though Nixon resigned to avoid impeachment.

1. John Dean Article from 2003 - Nixon/Watergate, Bush/WMD
Felony to Commit Conspiracy and to Defraud the USA. Who would have to bring the Felony Charges? Very interesting article especially given it was written two years ago.

3. impeachment..than what!
President Dennis Hastert or Dickie Chaney? What a fine pickle the American people would find themselves in if EVER they did through the Bums out! Than who ever was appointed to be Vice Pres he would be entrenched into the position and ready for action in 2008, and dam we can't change horses in mid-stream than either. Not matter what way this DSM's our choice as Americans are disgusting.

Turning Florida Blue in 2006.

4. It's more important than that.
It would be a shame if the truth never came out. This is a chance to discover the whole story of how much people have been lied to. People need to learn their lesson so that this won't happen again so soon.

6. agreed
I agree there is a more important basis for exposing the truth than having a continual theocracy . Perhaps I am a bit jaded when it comes to exposing all the lies because nothing seems to stick, nothing seems to penetrate the media & pundits since only 5 corporation's own and control all the media all the Time.
This will be old news in several more weeks perhaps months when something "new" takes the attention span away. I watched the overview of all the news talk shows today and only 1 time was this mentioned (briefly) and just to think this story "just broke through for the USA" and already it's not mentioned much at all except on progressive blogs & radio.

5. So, you propose that those guilty of betraying and exploiting our people,
,...should not be held accountable because you fear an aftermath that may never happen?

What happens if we refuse to hold such contemptible people responsible? Have you considered how much MORE harm they will impose upon this nation and it's people?

7. Of course those guilty
need to be exposed and held accountable and pay the price for all the harm that has been done and unfortunately continues to be done. It just doesn't seem the truth on many accounts for past 4 1/2 yrs have been able to penetrate very much. I hope for the sake of our Country something will be able to break through and expose lies.

8. Are you serious???
After impeachment you ask??? To begin with, world wide celebration the likes of which we have never seen! Then we joyfully pick up the pieces.

Our choices are not disgusting. Impeachment is a clear and right choice, for our democracy and for the world! There's no question about it.

For the record, when Bush goes, his whole team goes with him. Hopefully in orange jumpsuits and ankle bracelets. True justice would be sending them to Gitmo. After all, according to them, it's a Club Med!

Your argument that whoever takes over would be guaranteed to win the following election...not true. Gerald Ford did not win after taking over for Nixon...Jimmy Carter won. People tend to want a clean slate after something like this, not the leftovers from it.

9. For the Record
The whole team doesn't necessarily go. Gerald Ford didn't go anywhere. And yes Club med Gitmo is probably the correct place. But get real when it comes to impeachment for this administration. The powers that be will not let that happen, unless ALL the people take to the street and raise up, I guess anything is possible and I would love to see it happen, but don't bet the bank on it.

10. Gerald Ford...
...was not involved in crimes. Many others in the Nixon Administration were involved and they were convicted and served time. In this case, with Bush, those who are guilty will go with him and that's about all of them.

They set the bar very low regarding impeachment by trying to impeach President Clinton over sex. Nobody took to the streets. Lying us into war, the deaths that have resulted...these are crimes of monumental porportion. Bushes armour has been cracking...even before DSM. I'd bet the bank that this will go all the way.
