Readers of the online edition today saw the following headline on the business page: Stocks End Mixed; Jobs Data Loom
But if you got the print edition, the same article runs under a headline in half-inch letters (bigger than anything on the front page) reading:
Stocks Edge Up; Dollar Strengthens
About that "strengthening" dollar - in paragraph 17, the Times admits that after hitting a record low against the Euro ($1.21 on Wednesday) has now bounced back to $1.209 ! How exciting is that - a tenth of a cent pullback from an all-time low now warrants large-print headlines.
Is this some type of game with them ?

They probably figure internet users are going to lean more liberal than (older) paper-readers.
