When I was younger and not as sophisticated in my palate, I did do the Nutters but ever since I became interested in eating natural foods, I have "moved up" to healthy junk food! Yeah, it's more expensive, but better-tasting. However, I have actually stopped eating most store-bought cookies. Even the natural versions usually use refined flour:(

In Chicago we have the Ferrara-Pan candy company near us. I remember one day when I came up with a theory that they could be using Jaw Breakers (the little tiny ones now known as Jaw Busters) to deal with imbalances in the inventory of their food coloring that they use for Lemonheads/Grapeheads/Appleheads/Orangeheads/Cherryheads. All five colors are represented in Jaw Breakers. If they have too much of one dye, they can just make more Jaw Breakers that are that color.
